Heading up with the Supporters bus, been a while since we have brought a bus up to Armadale, so really looking forward to it. Bit of a bogey track for Worky but hoping we can keep it close. Can't see Cook letting anyone get the better of him especially after his slip up with Vissing last week  . Having Sedgman at reserve teamed with Worrall could be our thorn in the side.

Early on in the season so a safe meeting for all riders , looks all set to be a cracker

Come on the Comets !!

Hopefully, this will be an interesting match up, it would be nice to see the Comets produce a decent performance this time around at Armadale, not nowadays a happy hunting ground for us but with Josh and Ricky going pretty well and Rene starting to look like his old self, we could worry E,boro especially with some solid support from Mason and Kyle and likewise at the tail end with Chris and Ash!! :t:

Don't see too much beating Cookie round there but we are more than capable, on a good day, of taking care of the rest which should yield us a good result, not entirely confident of the win but certainly confident of keeping this close and nicking a point!! ;)

Wasn't far off in my prediction!!! 22 points for Edinburgh reserves against 4 for Comets (excluding Bonus points) tells everything that is wrong with the team and why we will fall just short of the big prizes. Still think we will give some teams a real going over when those top 5 all fire but with only 3 performing tonight it left too big a gap. Cookie a class apart again

Didn't look like losing tonight solid performance once again a little blip half way through the meeting other than that looked comfortable.

Though aaron was unlucky to get excluded as Campton was constantly locking up and grinding to a hault all night in the middle of the bends, but means nothing now as it hasn't effected the result in the end.

Cook - tried to team ride aaron round in heat 1 but it all got a little to tight so cleared off. again untouchable

aaron - made a couple of decent starts but just lacked pace

Max - was fantastic tonight really looked the real deal this evening

Deek - fell hurt his back and withdraw. hope he isn't out for to long

Sam - had better nights but still done okay

Justin - rode well, nice and solid

Stevie - great again tonight struggled in his last coulpe when it got a bit slicker

Josh - best i have seen him ride the dale

Campton - made good starts then kept pulling massive lockers and basically stopping in the middle of corners

Wells - had better nights at the dale

Howarth - poor apart from the one ride when he made a gate and was all over the place infront until the he eventually fell off in spectacular style

rene - expected more as he has done well before

Mills - when he eventually turned up around heat 7 (god knows how he was so late) should have just stayed home

Morris - still can't gate and looked a little short on speed

Give Max a few more meetings and he will be hard to beat around Armadale Edited by Fromafar

Will say the same about Morris as I have about Newman on a Plymouth thread, it's about time he was scoring decent points in the PL if he is ever going to be any good. One would have thought Armadale would be his cup of tea.

In contrast great to see Stevie Worrall starting the season so well.

My ramblings from the Chatzone.....

This was a big test tonight and we passed with flying colours.

The turning point was heat 7 when just 2 points ahead Howarth went haywire on the last 2 bends to allow both Monarchs through for a 3-3 rather than a 1-5.

Both teams had some bad luck/bad calls from the ref - Derek was elbowed off by Scrabbleman in heat 5 I felt, could have been all 4 back, Aaron came off when Campton parked his bike 1 yard in front of him in ht 8 after slowing to a crawl on every corner then Bach went down in heat 9 as Worrall lifted on bend 2. Surely if a rider falls due to one in front mucking it up the one in front should go?

Cookie was rubbish, never got a full max, never got the track record lol. Aaron showed he can gate, a few more meetings and he'll be doing fine. Max was superb, just beaten once in his 2nd ride when outnumbered in the re-run. Derek ran out of room in heat 3, then was unlucky in 5. Sam still has to Master the bends but his speed is there for all to see. The reserves were great, maybe Stevie tired a bit in his last two.

For Worky, I thought they looked solid but they couldn't win enough heats - only one apart from the Joker ride. Grajczonek won two, Wells one and Bach is still not back to his pre-injury form. Campton is much improved and had a good night, Howarth had a good second in 14 after spinning out on a paid win in 7, Morris scored a few thirds with Mills earning a 100 lines for arriving late!

So a meeting where I predicted a 10 point win ended up as a 20 point one excluding the stupid 3 extra joker points. We hammered Berwick home and away last week, this team look very strong, but there's a long way to go. Luckily, r/r for Derek tomorrow doesn't really weaken us, hopefully he'll get his back sorted for next week.

I think you are right here. Comets top 5 are as good as anyones (I was impressed with Campton and Grajczonek last night) but the reserves are poor. I don't think they will be convincing at home never mind anywhere else and that will cost Workington dear.
