Vincent Vega
Well as there was no thread for this meeting I assume Shadders and the Rye House mafia are en route to Plymouth for this one. Ben Barker to get a max and Plymouth to sneak home. Wonder what Shadders will make of the grub at the St Boniface Arena!!

Gazza66
Think the rockets will be too strong for the devils tonight. My prediction is 48 - 42 to the rockets.

Halifaxtiger
They're a toilet with a bidet tonight. To be honest, I never thought they were quite as bad as some made out or their first couple of results suggested. Barker, Newman, Jensen, Simota and Katajisto should all be capable of scoring decent points at PL level and only Benko and Reade were gambles. It will be interesting to see how they get on at Hoddesdon tonight and against Ipswich next Friday.

I still see them as a wooden spoon contender, they did perform well last night though there can be no doubts about it. I won't make any predictions tonight though! TheScotsman
So if Rye don't win very comfortably tonight Rye must be wooden spoon contenders.
Penny Cross
No one saw that result coming, did they? Any news on Garrity?, frightening crash to watch. A combination of Rye riding badly and the Devils up for it made for a very one sided meeting. Devils: Barker rode poorly in his first 2 rides, but then it was back to normal. Benko was excellent value for each of his points. Newman rode the best I've ever seen him at the SBA.Has he finally realised the fastest way round is not on the white line? Jensen backed him up effectively. Simota was superb reminded me of Fisher, but in a lot more control! More nights like that will give the promotion a massive headache. Why drop him for Davies? Then again, they have changed their minds before...... Katajisto was in far more in control than last week. Reade got involved this time round, looking a lot better. Rockets: Kennett started strongly but faded, Tresarrieu was completely anonymous. Why give him the B/W when Bowen was the obvious one? Garrity was plain bonkers! Wild and out of control long before his big crash. Not seen him that bad since one of his early outings for Buxton .Boxall, same as Kennett. Bowen tried, but never seriously threatened. Lambert had a nightmare. Why didn't he take a ride in Ht14? Announcements were confusing to say the least. Overall, the Devils riders were really up for it. Even when being outgated, they all seemed to make some great 1st turns. "One swallow doesn't make a summer", but this was a very encouraging performance. Now to keep it up.
pitgate52
The Garrity crash happened right in front of me and as you say Penny Cross it was frightening to watch.
Ben91
So if Rye don't win very comfortably tonight Rye must be wooden spoon contenders. No, you can't use one meeting as reasoning to write a team off or not. We were beaten heavily by the Devils on their patch but I still think they'll struggle this year. TheScotsman
I still see them as a wooden spoon contender, they did perform well last night though there can be no doubts about it. I won't make any predictions tonight though! You said this. And that was based on one meeting. And then they hammered you home AND away. So by that logic - you must be wooden spoon contenders. Simples.
