Somerset V Newcastle 04/04/14

Not too confident for this one TBH. Will be a tough night ahead :(

Think we will do pretty well. Remember it is on aggregate so a small defeat is acceptable. GoGo Diamonds.

Tough opener for the new look Rebels, I have a feeling this will be very close with the Diamonds edging the result over the two legs.Brady is listed on the updates site as starting so as it is a chance of another trophy I think it is worth a go with him.I think "home" advantage will count as nothing in this one.Safe journey down for the travelling geordies and no injuries please.

I hope we win over the 2 legs and i think we can but i meant for this meeting itself

It could hinge on the form of the two Lewis's. if Kerr rides to his ability, and Rose gets amongst the points, I think we could do very well. Anyway, I know we will be cheered on by Dietbowers, so it will be nice to hear and see one of our own cheering us on.;):D

I am off to see Foreigner and Europe at the City Hall, but I will still be having a squint at the Updates during the night. :D

Unfortunately DB would cheer on a team of dead cats if he thought they could beat the Rebels lol

Hmmm...bit of a thumping for the Diamonds tonight.

Didn't really fancy Somerset's starting 7 this year compared to other years but clearly they are going to be up there again and very strong at home at least.

I think this meeting highlights that the Diamonds might not have the top end power to challenge this year. Solid yes, but do we have anybody who can consistently beat opposition heat leaders on the road? Probably not.

Embarrassing score line

The understatement of understatements to date for this season. It will be interesting to hear the views of those in attendance, as to whether the score line flatters the Rebels or is a true reflection of 'Rosen notwithstanding' a pretty awful away performance. Always thought that Schramm in particular is seen as something of an Oaktree specialist.
