Ommer Mon
No idea but, if it is, take a calculator judging on the Scunny scores so far. Coventry are a very good team - as demonstrated at Monmore Wood on Tuesday. I think the 70 point mark could be threatened unless something is done to add experience to the line up.

Come on then-- Who would you put in the line up to make the Stags stronger on 10/
Islander15
Storm 1. Stefan Nielsen 2. Luke Crang 3. Oliver Greenwood 4. Dan Greenwood 5. James Sarjeant 6. Ryan Terry-Daley 7. Martin Knuckey Stags 1. Steve Jones 2. Conor Dwyer (G) 3. Danno Verge 4. Adam Kirby (G) 5. Sam Woods (G) 6. Liam Sanderson 7. Ryan MacDonald Come on then-- Who would you put in the line up to make the Stags stronger on 10/10 Don't forget Lee Dicken comes in on Sunday (even though Jayne's comment is interesting). One name I would like to see is Marc Owen, he certainly deserves a chance after a very bad injury and is capable of going far or a more Scunny-like name is Tom Young. I don't know how many EWR laps the former has done, and I haven't noticed the latter's name in practice sessions. Ommer Mon
Some of these may be unrealistic, as I don't know the circumstances of the lads concerned, but here are a few thoughts in addition to Islander 15's above. Gary Irving, Byron Bekker, Danny Warwick, Rob Branford (if he is coming back), Jake Knight, Mark Baseby,Tony Atkin (if he can be talked back) , Luke Priest, Danny Warwick, Mark Baseby - any of them would be competitive and give the youngsters a role model out there on the track. In terms of a youngster I would like to see given another go I would suggest Nathan Stoneman who I reated quite highly on the occasions I have seen him. Still it's not my team and I'm no team manager but I hope Rob and colleagues will consider any sensible additions they are aware of. They may well have the next Woffy in there but the current spectacle at away tracks will not be attractive and will do little to promote the National League as a competition.
greyhoundp
Its to be hoped there is no dirt on the Track, and that its more rideable than the last meeting that was held at Brandon, if its in the same condition that it was in 2 weeks ago, then im afraid some of these inexperienced youngsters may be caught out. All i can say is Good luck guys and stay safe.
Gemini
Why are Scunthorpe allowed three guests? Have they not got a full team yet?

Some quick answers on the ones I know: Irving - He put his job over a Scunny PL place last season. Bekker - Had an operation last summer and sold most of his kit he has been on a bike since in SA but that doesn't mean he necessarily wants a team spot. Branford - Withdrew from the British Under 21 final, so ever increasingly looking like he can't make it over this year. Knight - Retired this winter. Atkin - Retired midseason last year but he said he'll help out Stoke if they need it this year. Stoneman - Retired to concentrate on being a mechanic. Blackbird
Why are Scunthorpe allowed three guests? Have they not got a full team yet? They're NOT guests! Guests have to ride for someone else. Dwyer, Kirkby & Woods don't..
Gemini
Okay fair enough. I didn't know they had three injuries in their first meeting and I thought 'G' against the riders name meant guest. I stand corrected. 1. Steve Jones2. Conor Dwyer (G)3. Danno Verge4. Adam Kirby (G)5. Sam Woods (G)6. Liam Sanderson7. Ryan MacDonald

Not strictly speaking true. you are allowed 1 guest for no. 1, 1 guest for 1-5 from other teams (same or lower average than the replaced rider although i'm not sure about that as they are all 3 pointers) any others all have to be unattached 3 pointers. Although they do have a Layne Cuppit and a Scooter Webster declared and they haven't ridden so not sure what's going on there. Swift Saint
They're not guests, but unattached 3.00 riders brought in to replace injured riders. Scunny could have reverted to R/R, but have put out a full seven-man line-up. All the best Rob Scunthorpe are to be congratulated for having the initiative to locate riders in the dreadful circumstances in which they find themselves and not seeking postponements or even whinging about it. Most teams would be looking for a postponement or fixture changes. The riders concerned are not really guests as unattached three point riders upon which there is no restriction of use. However, I expect they have had the (G) added as they are not in the Scunthorpe declaration. Good luck to them tonight and hopefully no more injuries Malcolm Vasey Stoke Speedway
Main Man
COVENTRY Storm race their first National League fixture of the season when they face Scunthorpe at Brandon on Friday (7.30pm). The City Gearboxes Storm showed their intent for 2014 with a determined display at the home of title favourites Cradley earlier in the week, going down by just eight points in the first leg of the Travel Plus Trophy. Now they have an opportunity to collect their first league points against a Scunthorpe side who suffered injuries in their opening meeting of the campaign last weekend. The Stags are led by the experienced Steve Jones and also include former Bees mascot Conor Dwyer, whilst Adam Kirby and Sam Woods had spells with Kent last season. The Storm go into the meeting at full-strength. Co-boss Laurence Rogers said: “For our boys it’s a great chance for them to get some points on the board, and I hope the fans turn out to see them. “People will have looked at Tuesday’s result and seen how well we did at Cradley, so I very much hope they come along and get behind the boys.” Admission is just £10 for adults with all children free, and supporters are reminded of a £4 discount available on production of a ticket from the recently abandoned home match against Cradley. CITY GEARBOXES STORM: Stefan Nielsen, Luke Crang, Oliver Greenwood, Dan Greenwood, James Sarjeant, Ryan Terry-Daley, Martin Knuckey. SCUNTHORPE: Steve Jones, Conor Dwyer, Danno Verge, Adam Kirby, Sam Woods, Liam Sanderson, Ryan MacDonald.
Fozzie4388
I would just like to point out on the Proper Press releases from the Clubs none of these riders have (G) next to their name. This is just a post on a forum remember
crazysue
Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the Updates site? If you can, can you please get in touch with either myself or Fozzie. Thanks
