Scunthorpe Scorpions Vs Redcar Bears (lc) Sunday, April 6th (3pm)

I do also remember Auty being dragged away by his team management as he was busy sticking his middle finger up at Workington supporters. While Ingalls was lying on the ground with what transpired to be a broken back. Top marks to Lawson that day who acte like a true no.1

I also remember being there, with MPT and him coming for some awfull abuse ...and the following days on here

I wonder, if anyone remembers an incident, in a Scunthorpe/Sheffield match, on August bank holiday Monday 2010. A bitterly fought contest, with many incidents. One which stands out in my memory, concerned Richard Hall. He had been involved in a crash, with another rider and I believe (if memory serves), he was excluded. On the way through the pits gate, was Viktor Bergstrom, (I think it was him), as RH came through he ran into Viktor, hitting him in the legs and he went down in a heap. From my view point directly behind, he changed direction, to deliberately make contact. On the evidence of what I saw, nothing would convince me otherwise. I could not believe more was not made of this at the time, it was one of the most cynical actions I have seen in 50 years of speedway. That is probably to the credit of the victim who did not make a big deal of the incident. Safe to say, I have never been a fan of RH ever since. I'd be amazed if nobody else saw it or remembered it.

yer I remember this incident I was in the pits hall actually rammed his handlebars in victors ribs !! what a great bloke !!

I was also at that meeting. I have a really hazy memory of what you've said.

Wasn't it kicking off, right from the beginning of that meeting? Hall and Wilko had a bad tempered exchange, and then the aformentioned Hall/Bergstrom incident. I did think it just handbags at that meeting. It's all covered in some detail in one of Jeff Scott's books, I believe.

I'm pretty sure that's the same double-header where Buzz Burrows and Simon Lambert were involved in an awesome Heat 15 in the second meeting, where they passed each other something like 10 or 12 times over the four laps. :t:

All the best

Rob

So basically to sum up

Richard Hall has copped a 30 day ban.

Most fans feel that this justified.

Except for TaylorJ and Jenga, as we establish that majority of Workington fans don't like Josh Auty.

TaylorJ does not give a rat arse about what anyone else thinks about what she says.

Jenga would like the opportunity to buy Richard Hall a Big Mac with cheese and extra large fries and cannot spell dangerous.

And after a winter of watch Braehead Clan ice hockey team, Paulco would now like to see after heat 15, would like to see the captains from each team take off the crash helmets and gloves and have a punch up to decide on a winner for a bonus point.

Do we have anything else.

Not from me. It was a racing incident I always felt that MPT was an innocent bystander. In fact, I felt the track was at fault as it was too dusty I said at the time I had to move so as not to get my drink filled in. Auty was naughty that day both in the race and after.

You're always going to see things differently dependant on which rider you support. I like Richard Hall and I like Ben Barker so when they are involved in these kind of things I suppose I will always see the other side of the Story

pretty much spot on if you remove the word dangerous and add in 'and is a bell end'.

Why ? That's quality stuff from Hall . We need more of that in speedway , nothing gets the crowd going more than a known villian thumping somebody . Might get the fans back through the turnstiles if they thought they might get a bit of contraversy . Newport v Glasgow the night before Cardiff used to be packed to the rafters and i'll bet a good percentage of the crowd only went because they knew something contraversial usually happened in that fixture .

We need more of people kicking an injured rider ?, I don't care of the preceding circumstances, you sir are a prize prat if you think that.

I think Paulco was referring to Will Beveridge dragging Emil Lidqvist off his bike at the pit gate , kicking him when he was down and breaking his collarbone,?

Still the best speedway meeting I have ever seen, the needle up to that point was epic, and a last heat decider to clinch it,

The scuffle was just an addition to the atmosphere, shame Emil got hurt, but what a meeting

you could never upset me spinny.. its all good crack.. speedway would be boring without the dark side... until our next verbal battle.. live long and prosper and keep your back to the wall.. .. dont know if i should have said that.. roll on more controversial :t: and danderous :t: riding..
