Yikes
I was playing with a vpn setup and when streaming from the website last night it worked fine when I reported I was in Germany, didn't try NZ but played with other places I am likely to visit like Spain and France and they worked fine. PHILIPRISING
But the SGP is shown in a 100 countries, isn't it...? But the SGP is shown in a 100 countries, isn't it...? THE highlights programme put together the Thursday after a SGP and sent to various TV channels around the world is obviously different to what is available live either as a stream or on channels in Australia, Denmark, Poland, the UK and Denmark. I don't think they will get it on tv here in Germany, ayway. Sport 1+ say they would be prepared to show it again, if they get it for free, as was the case in the past three years. No other tv-station is really interested since speedway is such a minority sport here in Germany, that hardly anyone knows it exists at all. So, BSI/IMG, please make the official SGP live stream available here in Germany, as long long as there is no tv coverage. The live stream is still blocked out here in Germany! ASKED Paul Bellamy (MD of BSI) about your comment and he replied: Sport 1 already have a contract but we understand their budget cuts mean they can’t/won’t pay their own guys to be in the studio and their own technician cost from Germany The live stream will be looked at. PHILIPRISING
But the SGP is shown in a 100 countries, isn't it...? NOT sure anyone ever claimed that ... Latest list I have (excluding UK, Poland, Denmark, Australia and Sweden) taking the highlights package includes Austria, Balkans, Bulgaria, Czech Rep and Slovakia, France, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, South America, Switzerland and Thailand plus Middle East countries. I hope the Danes didn't have to pay twice for it?! SO good they paid for it twice ... my apologies

What we do get is a month or two after a GP, probably not every GP, a highlights package on TV3. Phil - in your view is this a good deal for a NZ based speedway fan? Does the possbility of a highlights package being shown a couple fo months after the event justify blocking the live stream? (i acknowledge the NZ GP is an exception ,shown the folloing day). Is this really an achievement BSI should trumpet? I've sent the same query to BSI, not sure if I will get a response, but would be interested in your thoughts. Grand Central
But the SGP is shown in a 100 countries, isn't it...? NOT sure anyone ever claimed that ... In a post by Tony McDonald back in 2009 in a thread announcing the news of Ole Olsen's retirement as SGP director he quoted a certain person called PHILIP RISING who made that exact claim. Could he be a relation? The link is here

Bavarian
Seems that the live stream for Germany was looked at, as someone told me that the Bydgoszcz SGP was NOT blocked out in our land. I have not seen it myself but will give it a try next time with the Finnish SGP to confirm this. Thank You to Phil Rising, Paul Bellamy and all, who made this available here in Germany. You'd think the best bit of advertising/promotion they could do for the NZ GP would be to get the GPs shown on tele as live as is possible out there so people get used to it. The fact the GPs are an irrelevance on tele out there make the attendance for the GPs look bloody amazing!

No doubt one of the major reasons why the SGPs are shown live in Australia is because they, unlike Kiwiland, have representation, and two championship contenders to boot, in the event.
