Ben Barker said that unfortunately Brum couldn't prepare the track how they wanted, due to the forecast of showers throughout the day, hence it was a lot slicker than normal

Not disputing what you say, but it is pretty desperate to try to make the racing at Leicester appear better by saying half a meeting somewhere else is worse.

It wasn't great but in heat 3 Kennett went from 1st to last. There was also a fair chance of passing in a few heats. It's not all about passing but the belief there will be a pass, something that was unlikely on Saturdays Leicester meeting as riders were so spread out.

Do agree though, it was a poor meeting

1st to last? Doesn't he realize yet that it works best the other way around?

Actually what you've written about the 'belief there will be a pass' pretty much sums up Eddie as he always looks as if he's going to belt round the outside of someone but somehow never does. Still the thought is there in our minds so it's exciting to watch.

TBF with Ed, I dont find him exciting as I pretty much know he's not going to pass. Davey Watt is pretty similar - but he did make a couple of passes last night :o

Not all about passing? Really? at leicester we spend our time counting them it's only by gods grace that there aren't that many that we get to actually see the meeting.

Ah so poor racing is a new invention is it?

There were plenty of poor meetings in the days when the sport wasn´t struggling as well.

OOOOfff You'll be heading for the tower talking like that about the 'good old days'

Says who?

Got your blinkers on again haven't you.

No you have ! You probably think the sport has never been better ! Wake up and smell the coffee ! Unfortunately there is a silent majority who are deserting the sport.Tell us where all these good meetings have been this year.(ERC,Cov/Cradley,BEN fund, Leic/Wolves,Cradley/Cov,any meeting with Birmingham).ps add swindon/Cov to that list + euro pairs+Lakeside/Leicester

Still waiting for you to name these classic matches from the Elite league on Sky last year if you can ?

That's half the problem,Kelvin says "super speedway" a couple of times, the other guy shouts a bit and people think they have seen a classic.Since the awesome Poole/Coventry in 2010 only meeting that stands out as a classic on TV was Bydgoszcz SGP 2013. Slim pickings in the last 3 years on Sky !
