ProudtobeaBrummie
Hi Easty fans how's the weather looking down there? Gonna be a huge home win I'm predicting both tactical rides taken by heat again again... I'm normally quite positive but I'm really struggling this season already I know you will all laugh but I can't see us scoring more than 12-14 league points all season
foamfence
Benji Compton isn't even a decent national league rider.... probably the worst one out of the 'Elite' Picks. Still.... must be cheap. The Draft riders get the same rates.
Panthers89
That`s debatable if they `add` anything to the league. IMHO our leagues should have ALL British reserves, that's the only way they will progress and so will our National chances for the future. I agree, only a few will make the step up. We all accept that. Its no difference to PL bringing in foreigner riders that mostly end up in the reserve berth once there assessed averages have been completed with a new one. You could say only 10% make the cut also. I suppose that's true, but regarding the foreigners in the Premier League at reserve, there really isn't that many compared to other years now, most are british. Fact is, there really wont EVER be enough good quality british riders to share around ALL the teams, so your always going to have teams then who are weakened through no fault of there own. The Draft riders get the same rates. I don't even think Compton is a draft rider, so hence the cheaper comment!

There wont ever be if we don't try to address the problem. It would be a different matter if we can progress them thru all leagues and then onto Europe and NOT doubling down. That`s the only way we WILL move forward.
The Pedaler
No idea what admission prices are for Eastbourne, but i`m sure they have a website to inform you. Thank you for that top tip Admission is £17 (Adults) for that line up of teams. Top value. No wonder the BSPA think that the EL is the best league in the world and worth protecting at all times and in all ways.
Falcon Hammer
The Draft riders get the same rates. Travel costs will have been reduced significantly though - no flights to pay for, especially costly if the meeting is rained off

And the PL is £16 for a weaker product, wonder who is the bigger rip off merchant. The EL IS the best/strongest/top league in this country, by any definition. Without a top league NO sport can be taken seriously. Don`t forget to mention the 7 GP riders and the World Champ ride in the best league in the Country. Great value for money compared to the rip off PL.

Mike.Butler
Isn't it inevitable that having so many riders riding in two (or three) divisions is going to cause problems throughout the season?..and that's before injuries.. I'm all for british youngsters getting as many rides as possible but this a consequence. Edited March 29, 2014 by Mike.Butler
diamond_ren
Replacing a track specialist (Kennett) with Tungate? Yeah seems fair lol. Only in speedway. Didn't think speedway could get any more of a laughing stock but tonight I think it actually has
Mike.Butler
that's not even a PL side Birmingham!...it's a side built on a budget..and it shows..they would be much betterr off in the PL IMV..
stevebrum
As expected Brum trounced again. Thank god for one decent team in the Midlands keeping standards up. That is a dismal score all the same.
Panthers89
Birmingham should give Plymouth meeting going with that team, awful. Not 1 rider impressing or performing as should do.

tractorboy
Well a job well done by the Eagles tonight. good solid performance all round Afraid to say it looks like a long season for the Brummies
WembleyLion
The Eagles look to be stronger than ever at home but the Brummies were poor tonight. The best entertainment was Bob Dugard nearly wiping out Lewis Blackbird with his tractor. After a bad accident at King's Lynn a few years ago I thought that tractors were no longer allowed to come onto the track until the riders had left it! Doesn't take much to be a GP rider these days, more better riders who either choose not to be in it or don't even get a look in
