Swift Saint
VERY URGENT INFORMATION FROM STOKE SPEEDWAY CANCELLATION OF PRESS AND PRACTICE DAY The Stoke “Easy Rider” Potters very much regret that due to the extremely wet weather taking place over the last 18 hours it will NOT be possible to hold Press and Practice Day tomorrow (26/03/14). There is a wide span of water accumulated around the white line preventing the application of new track material planned for today and rather than hold an event that would be less than expected plans have been radically changed in order to minimise the effects of the weather. This is to ensure that everyone connected with the Club from the media to our riders and supporters can enjoy the launch of the new season. The revised programme of events is now as follows: Wednesday 26th March 2014 – PRESS AND PRACTICE POSTPONED Saturday 29th March 2014 – STOKE V KINGS LYNN POSTPONED Sunday 30th March 2014 – PRESS AND PRACTICE TO START AT 11 - 00 AM AND CONTINUE UNTIL 1.00 PM (Approximately) Sunday 30th March 2014 – Stoke v Kings Lynn at 3.00 pm We apologise for these revised arrangements and the limited notice given. Sadly the weather is not within our control and we are making every human effort to ensure that our track is as raceable as possible for the start of the new season. We have taken this action rather than waste everyone’s time at a curtailed event tomorrow and to minimise further inconvenience to all concerned by staging the two events on one day. We hope that our loyal supporters will recognise these changes as a genuine attempt to improve the situation we find ourselves in and as enjoyable as possible for everyone despite the weather. We wish to offer the Kings Lynn Young Stars our very grateful thanks for their co-operation in this matter. semion
Malc you must gutted. PnP day now on Sunday meaning you won't be able to take advantage of the £1 entrance fee for the Merrivale Model Village on the same day. pete cc
It is a pity not all clubs could not be this open and honest about things out of their control. Well done Mr Vasey & stoke speedway.

Mike.Butler
sorry but here we go again..stoke staging a challenge when they have failed to fulfill their fixtures for 2 years in a row..they should have been told to stage official fixtures only until completed in my view....what odds another incomplete league table come October?
