Aces51
Birmingham will be an entirely different proposition at home to their performance at Wolverhampton. Both sets of reserves are the unknown quantity but I think the Aces can start with a win.
Rob B
One difference is Birmingham have had a couple of meetings under their belts, although Nicholls, Cook & Worral have had couple of open meetings others are cold and we not even had P&P yet. Woz01
This one could go either way, Birmingham are a different proposition at home.
Game On
Fancy Belle vue to take a point
stevebrum
Brum should be looking to win at home at the very least. I still fancy the Aces to nick a win tho 43-47 sort of score. Belle Vue look strong this season with a cracking tp 4 to match most.
bigcatdiary
Belle Vue will never have an easier time to take the points, Brum are awful.
TheSmiler
Birmingham will be stronger at home but I still think a 10 point win for the Aces is on the cards, and they should have a very good season under the new format.
The Pedaler
Birmingham will be an entirely different proposition at home... ..., Birmingham are a different proposition at home. Birmingham will be stronger at home ... Based on what evidence? One difference is Birmingham have had a couple of meetings under their belts, although Nicholls, Cook & Worral have had couple of open meetings others are cold and we not even had P&P yet. No, only one meeting as a team, away at Wolverhampton, and it was a disaster. The only point in hyping up the Brummies is so that BV fans can gloat all the more when they get their big win. The Brummies have no-one to match Zagar or Cook, let alone Scott Nicholls. Ritchie Worrall did well in a high calibre field at Poole, which is a track not dissimilar to Perry Barr, so he should do well too. The Aces have all the trump cards. I think that if the weather holds out, the Brummies are in for another embarrassing hammering.
Bagpuss
Brummies by two.
P T Preece
hopefully a win but I fear the worse, Cook and Zager sharp out of the gate, Id settle for a draw at the moment, lets hope the weather dosent take this one.
waiheke1
Reckon this could go to either side by 4. But the sort of meeting the aces need to win if they are to live up to hopes of being genuine play off contenders. Aces to win by two so long as our reserves can match brummies within a few of points.
Mr Blobby
Birmingham will have the upper hand in the reserve berths as Reade won't trouble anyone but Aces have the stronger top 5. fancy the aces but no by a lot
A ORLOV
Birmingham will have the upper hand in the reserve berths as Reade won't trouble anyone but Aces have the stronger top 5. fancy the aces but no by a lot Not sure about the upper hand, Barker scored 01 in the PL tonight. Dornier
Its a rareity but hey I think this is going to be an Aces win, Think the Aces will have a good season this time and good luck to them..
yellowandblack
With Nicholls, Worrall, Cook and Zagar I can't see anything other than a Belle Vue win. By a lot of points. In this meeting and probably many others this season.
Phil The Ace
Think the weather may win this one. Hope not though. Defo looking for a win. Last year we ran you close in the challenge at beginning if season. Let's hope we can go one better this time round
woodenspoon
Not much in this meeting for Belle Vue, if a good win, fans will say it was expected as Birmingham are rated as poor this year, and if they lose, fans will say that Belle Vue are not as good as some think they are. Weather, as stated above could be the winner, bit of a mugs game following speedway away from home, a call off means loss of petrol money etc. Lets hope for the travelling fan that if it is called off, it is early enough not for them to make a wasted journey. It would be great for Belle Vue to start a season well, as previous years we have had some disasters, everything crossed for this year to be different.
