van wolfswinkel
The usual Swindon win by about 7 I reckons, don't know if it will be enough to take down to Knobland. Apart from Darcia(the next Briggo) the Robins top 5 look stronger, clash between to the 2 Swindon lads Smart and Ritchings. One thing guaranteed will be freezing cold, and the bogs are still there after an unsuccessful attempt in the close season to blow them up. Hope the new dress code check is strictly undertaken by the stewards. Edited March 24, 2014 by Cremorne
YerRopes
I think they are more a 'Special Hole In The Home Of Lower Expectation'!! Stuck Here In This Hell, Oh Lord Explain !! Best I could do at short notice..

Have to agree with you Sidders, looks to me to be an away win mostly because of the NL reserves, though that's not a criticism as I do believe both Steve and Daryl will improve as the season progresses... Not convinced by the new format either, but it will provide extra interest on Thursday... Looking forward to finally seeing some live speedway after a long break and I hope that both Simon & Nicolai can live up to their past performances at Blunsdon. Bring it on.. AS per usual Sidney I shall be attired in my Nicky Henderson trilby, blazer, flannels, and ten-layers of thermals. Just hope I don't have to go into the black hole for a pee! No one is going for a home win.

I will sneak into the bog and remove the 5 watt light bulb before the meeting but with that lot on you had better strap a plastic bottle or hose on it as you will not have time to get through all those layers. He wears sunglasses on his baseball cap whatever the weather!! Talking of our famous bogs, rumour has it they have been spruced up for this season. Sheets of crinkly toilet paper provided now along with a slab of soap and candle light. Cockroaches and woodlouse beware....

Cockroaches ER, I think your telling 'porkies' - the temperature in there never gets much above freezing and those dark shadows bounce around you, candlelight will just make us all 'frown and hold on' that little bit longer... A ORLOV
Weirdo What you on about, the moon gives out more light than the bulb in there, and the management want to reduce their electricity bill at the stadium. That was the case the last time I used them about 30 years ago. I can rent out torches to those that want to use one and wellies. YerRopes
What you on about, the moon gives out more light than the bulb in there, why waist electricity. A fair point.. I can rent out torches to those that want one and wellies. Ssssh Orlov, that very successful businessman Mr Shovlar might beat you to it...
A ORLOV
This meeting is two days away and apart from the discussion about the excellent back straight facilities and the new required dress code for fans this thread seems to be rather quiet, very few posts from the dark forces of Dorset, they must have concerns about their team. The weather at the moment is predicted to be dry, there may be a light shower in the afternoon.
Steve Shovlar
No fears from darkest Dorset. The silence from North Wiltshire however means the Robins fans are slightly worried to make a prediction about this meeting. To be honest it's a hard one to call. swindons first meeting and Pooles first away fixture. Pretty close if you ask me and no more than 4-6 points in it either way. Forecast looks decent so a good crowd should be along for this.

Steve Shovlar
Don't forget Shov's open toe'd sandals speculation too.... Not this time of year. Definitely thick socks and four layers of clothing, plus my thermal hat.
