Polish Extraleague Play-off Final Sunday October 5th Plus Div 1

Recommended Posts

At least we see what Bridger can do in Poland again-although Harris is left out.

Suffering from a tummy virus Friday, didn't have a good match at Lakeside last night, couldn't find a hotel room in Luton last night after receiving late call up to ride in Poland today so slept on Airport departure lounge floor, early flight to Poland and wins first race! Typifies what a crazy world speedway riders live in!

There's been a lot of debate over meetings over here being called-off too easily. Isn't this a reminder of why pressing on regardless isn't always the best option? Hopefully the track will allow racing later on. Maybe it's just Gniezno......

Damned if you call it off damned if you leave it on.

I would sympathise a bit with the promoters on this :)

Of course. I've seen both sides of it. I remember a mud bath at Rye House before I got involved inj the sport professionally when riders were racing bare faced to try desperately to see, the crowd getting soaked and no chance of racing whatever. Whenever I hear of Rye House meetings getting called-off early I remember that waste of money and wonder if a painful lesson was learned.

Anyway, it looks like the track's coming round and we might see some speedway.

Have you lost all your computer skills-if it`s not underlining it`s minuscule writing

It'll be the wingdings font next.

I've heard that things are about to pick up - the 'Start' (sic) Gniezno manager's found a map of the track.

Heat 5 will consist of a "golden double" a tactical, home riders doing 5 laps and the start girls going topless. :t:

I think you're on to a winning formula there! Do you need a co-promoter, i'm available. :-)

You could see the way that Bjarne was bouncing around in heat 7 that it is very difficult out there. We've all seen meetings like this. As Pandorum said you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. Any weather reports for the upcoming (we hope) Extraligue meetings?

Not raining in Wroclaw-but it could soon !!

You always beat me by a fraction! Age and slow typing. Fingers crossed for later.

I was a lot happier to pay to watch rain-ruined processions when it only cost an arm to get into speedway. If they want the leg as well as they do now I expect better.

I think white just surrendered.

Davidsson reminding us again what an utter enigma he is. Looks a total novice today, when we've all seen him produce (occasionally) very decent performances. Strange.

I always like to see a track around a nice green, well kept infield. Ochiltree used to keep it so smooth that there was once a charity cricket match on it on a Sunday afternoon with a slightly "pi##ed" Ken McKinlay taking part. :drink::drink::drink:

The centre green at Powderhall, Edinburgh was always a joy to see - perfectly trimmed, flower borders and proper check mowing pattern. I noticed on leaving one meeting that the Monster Trucks were due there the next week.......

You had to watch where you walked at Rye House - I don't think the greyhound trainers had heard of pooper scoopers. There was also a rather boggy section that might have muffled the presentation as I sank into it.
