CardinalSin
A week away from our first competitive meeting. Seeing the result at the showground last night this is going to be extremely tough! Very hard to call and I think it will be close either way. Any Rockets fans making the trip for this one? westhamboy66
Shame our GP rider is absent as it weakens the Rockets. That said i doubt Ipswich will manage 45 pts.

Ben91
RocketBen is gonna love this so far! Will wait until after Saturday to give my real prediction. Word on the street has the witches down for a 75-15 win Hopefully making the trip up, two even sides. Can see the Witches winning, hopefully we'll take a point. Shadders
Cutting short my visit to Bandit country to attend. We usually keep it close until around heat 12, then fall away. I expect the same to happen. Witches by 8-10 points.

I expect the same to happen. Witches by 8-10 points.I honestly can't split the two. I'm unsure about our side untilManzares has completed a few meetings. Will he swim or sink? A lot will depend on him this year IMO, along with how well Heeps has recovered from this troublesome hand injury. We're banking on Heeps being a heatleader this year so it's important he's feeling 100%. We'll learn a lot from this meeting so looking forward to it. Baldyman
It does look close between the teams, Kennett could easily go through the card. I think the rockets will miss Jason B though, normally does okay at foxhall. Boxall is much better than his average and was good on his last visit. Lambert is the weak link. 2ndbendbeerhut
Last season: Ipswich 55 1 Ben Barker 3 3 2 3 3 14 2 Ritchie Hawkins 0 fx 2* 2+1 3 Rohan Tungate 0 3 1* 3 7+1 4 Morten Risager 3 0 2 3 8 5 Leigh Lanham 1* 2 3 2* 8+2 6 Adam Ellis 3 0 1 2* 6+1 7 Cameron Heeps 2* 2 3 1* 2* 0 10+3 Rye House Rockets 35 1 Josh Grajczonek 2 1* 3 0 1 1* 8+2 2 Jason Bunyan 1* 3 2 0 2 8+1 3 Anders Mellgren 2 2 3 3 0 2 12 4 Tyson Nelson 1* 1 0 0 1 3+1 5 Robert Mear RR 6 Kasper Lykke Nielsen 1 1* 1 0 1 4+1 7 Simon Lambert 0 0 0 0 Ipswich Witches 46 1 Ben Barker 1 3 3 1* 3 11 2 Jari Makinen 0 0 fx 0 3 Rohan Tungate 0 3 2 2 7 4 Morten Risager 1 1 1* 2 5 5 Leigh Lanham 1 3 2 2 2* 10 6 Adam Ellis 3 0 0 3 7 Cameron Heeps 1 3 3 2* 1* r 10 Rye House Rockets 44 1 Oliver Allen 3 0 3 3 0 9 2 Jason Bunyan 2* 2 2 1 7 3 Anders Mellgren 3 2 1 3 1 10 4 Jason Garrity 2* 1* 0 3 6 5 Tyson Nelson 2 2 3 0 7 6 Kasper Lykke Nielsen 2 1* 0 0 3 7 Simon Lambert 0 fx 1* 1 2 Doesn't really give us much of a clue as Rye will only have Lambert in their team from last year. Ipswich had Heeps at reserve, and have swapped Lanham and Barker for Worrall and Manzares. Should be a Witches win but early season so anything can happen. If Tungate and Heeps can kick on a gear in 2014 and add 1.5 - 2 to their aves then will be a good year for the Witches. In fact all the team have the potential to add at least a point, if they do will be there or there abouts come October.
Ben91
Think Manzares is good enough to average at least 4 this season. The Witches key man IMO is Hawkins. If he can be nearer the rider he was when he was at Workington than the rider he was when he rode for us then it'll ensure Ipswich always have two good reserves. TheScotsman
Should be a comfortable win for Rockets.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
So after seeing the opening night performances I will plump for a 4 point Witches win. Think it wiil go down to the wire.
Baldyman
Good choice, I chose that a few posts back. Cameron is certainly not up to racing speed yet, and unless he has had or has more practice before Thursday I don't see that changing. Worrall certainly didn't look as quick as I thought, but on the plus side, Rohan and morten looked very fast. Gino certainly looks fast and can pass, but he seriously needs to improve his gating, as passing isn't so easy on some tracks. Emma T
I predict a last heat decider that could go either way. Looking at last years results & meeting top scorers the Witches have no Barker & Lanham now and with Heeps not yet fully fit then it's going to be a tough start I feel.
