proud panther
Agree the referee was on a different planet to the rest of us. Heat 1 Blackbird should have been excluded, Boxhall completely wiped Blackbird out, but was allowed in the re-run, & Garrity only just got off the track after falling, with the other 3 riders nearly back round on the next lap. Fair play to the large number of Rye House fans who turned up & made a good atmosphere.

Thought Boxall and Blackbird coming together was 50/50. Impressed by Lewis looked better than his 2 pts scored but disappointed by Garrity only a single pt, Rye House release says bike problems, hope that's right. Boxall looked good even on his 2nd bike. Mike.Butler
Pl racing is what suits peterborough best. I was genuinely excited at the prospect of seeing Rye House there...seems many locals agree judging by the turnout...beats an invitation select EL team turning up some ad-hoc day of the week for the nth time.. It's all about opinions isn't it. Decent first night crowd is pretty standard an not the best indicator. wealdstone
There are certainly a lot of Peterborough folk who don't mind or even prefer Premier league. for many their first introduction to Speedway was in that Division. I and many others however take a different view.
proud panther
iand, Boxhalls front wheel hit Lewis in the middle of his back, which indicates that Lewis was ahead of him rather than level. Agree reference Fish, but he does it every time he gets outgated, so I tend to expect it after watching him last season. Still worth the admission fee on his own though, as there is never a dull moment when he is on track.
Crump99
Dryml was disappointing. The crowd looked very good better than for any of my visits for the EL in the last few years But after the first night enthusiasm we were down to the bare bones tonight v Plymouth and the less said about the ending, which wasn't helpful, the better! Cockney Rebel
R/R contrary to rule 16.5.3 but from my information the SCB have approved R/R for this and other matches until he returns from NZ. Yet another classic example of rules being ignored when it suits. or to put it another way someone considered the riders position and made a decision in his benefit ratherthan just sticking stubbornly to the ruleswithout cosidering the rider
bigcatdiary
or to put it another way someone considered the riders position and made a decision in his benefit ratherthan just sticking stubbornly to the ruleswithout cosidering the rider But unfortunately that's not the case for everyone as Harkess stated in the star last week over the Aussie visas. That's my point some clubs get common sense and some clubs get nothing, if it was consistent and applied fairly I wouldn't have a problem with common sense being applied.
