Swindon & Poole Home And Away On April 18

Recommended Posts

Im sorry but that was a very average meeting and the track was woeful. On bet365 we couldnt even see the riders on the first 2 bends and when they did decide to water it the hose had no pressure to it whatsoever it was just trickling out. I dont remember much passing to be honest, Kildemand was doing everything and got no rewards at all. Even Darcy was moaning about the track on Twitter.

I didn't realise Darcy was riding

It was an average at best meeting. Apart from Batch passing Holder did any of the top 5 riders pass each other? The reserve wobbling around and passing each other is not racing.

Always the same with day meetings though, hardly Pooles fault or any great shock.

Not a bad meeting given that it was daytime, which always leads to a shockingly dusty track at Poole.

There were a few decent races, and beating Swindon is always a bonus.

The dust isn't the main problem with the track though, the problem at Poole is the fact there are holes all over the bloody place, but since Matt doesn't own the track and can only really work on it for limited periods it's difficult to know what can be done to sort it.. Either way, a sh1te track is still a track and it's the same for everyone.

The griping from the Swindon fans has more to do with the fact their team got tonked out of sight than anything else, I know this because I've complained bitterly about away tracks when I've seen Poole get stuffed, when in reality its frustration with getting a hammering....

Charles Wright was very impressive today, and although he didn't get many points, Lee Smart is growing in me, he's not the quickest, but he has a go, and that's all you can ask for really.......

Just back from this mornings meeting at what became the proverbial dustbowl towards the end!!

Daytime meetings at any track are a nightmare for the track team especially when its hot bright sunshine with an accompanying breeze.

Having said all that I thought it was a decent enough meeting with some good racing and overtaking. PK not paid for his efforts but you expect more from a track specialist and Number 1!!

As much as I like Morris, he is not yet a heat leader - more a strong second string, but he will do better this evening!

Pretty solid for Poole even with the withdrawal of Shamek Pawlicki after the crash in his second ride!! If he doesn't race this evening then its either r/r or a guest from BV or Wolves?! I know. to keep it simple for those filling in their programmes this evening, Piotr Pawlicki is on the road south!!! :t::wink::D

Based on the racing I saw last Thursday I wouldnt say our track is decent. 1st bend was a disgrace.

Still better than the one this morning by all accounts.

Do not mind Piotr if he is a guest he only scored 4+1 this morning.

well said that man. At least you have the decency to admit the track is crap unlike the shovlar troll eulogising how good the meeting was.

I don't think people are saying Swindon lost because the track was crap. Swindon were clearly outridden by the better side.

And the track looked crap.

bitter, bitter, bitter.

I think the authorities should do something about the evil Matt who quite clearly prepared this track to sink Swindon.

All points should be given to the robbins. It is only fair.!!!

at least there won't be any complaints from robins fans tonight!!!

So Matt Ford prepared the track did he? Let me tell you something matey, Neill was pouring bowers on that track from 6.30 this morning. i know, i was there at 7.00, and he's already put one full bowser down. in the sun and the wind and sea air that track will dry out within 20 minutes, he was pouring water down and half filling the bowser to get more down, the track was drying quicker than he could get it down. so you can forget that as an excuse. Basically your team was just not good enough, and from a Swindon prospective, things need to change, and the only person who can make that happen is your riders, with a little help from Uncle Rosco, because they were not even there..
