MrMungo
Although some fans won,t( or don,t want to ) accept comments from the Bees promoters reference Friday night the Referee has complete control over the meeting from start to finish. If he doesn,t like any one particular thing if you as a promoter/ team manager/ or in my case trackman(during a meeting at Oxford) don,t rectify it he has carte blanche to refuse the meeting starting at all.It wasn't a he on Friday night, it was a she. And she seemed reluctant to do anything. Even when the rider in the lead fell in front of the other 3, and some had to slow right down to avoid running over the leader, she still didn't want to put the red lights on! She was poor, the announcer appeared to be drunk, the track was awful, it was an awful, awful, awful night for Speedway.
GREDON
Problem is now who owns the stadium, will he or she change the light bulbs and still be responsible for upkeep of stadium. Also ensure the track is got ready for speedway and stocks as Mr Sandhu had been doing.

lucifer sam
Mick and I know that the events of Friday evening were unacceptable and we (and everyone at the Club) are devastated by the way the meeting turned out. At the moment we are working hard on the staging of this evening's ERC, before we sit down to try and right the wrongs of Friday. A Club statement, which will also give details of the re-admission arrangements, will follow in due course. Any news? Midland Red
The good news is David Hammond is back as from Sunday. Who was the announcer last Friday? Was David Hammond on duty on Sunday? I see that Gordon Camwell is still listed on the Bees website - has he come, has he gone, or what?

Both he and Peter York come up together from Oxfordshire. All the best Rob
markyb
I read on the coventry bees web site that details of the 'discount to be applied' on production of their re-admission tickets for a future NL meeting will be provided in due course - in accordance with the (BSPA) regulations. That means I gotta pay the "muppets" some more of my money again in order to get a concession. Nah- don't think so ! They made a fortune last night in the track shop, endless queues at the refreshment/food areas and the 2 quid they charge for two sheets of a4 paper with a staple in the middle they call a 'programme'. This promotion have taken the pis# too often over the last few years and may come to regret it. If anybody wants my re-admission ticket - let me know and will willing send. It anybody wants the benefit of the 4 quid that Horton and Watson are giving, then please send me your address and I will send you my re-admission ticket and even give you the price of the stamp for free. Am so sorry for the young guys of the Storm who have so much enthusiasm - but for me, I now had enough. oleoleole
Another sloppy PR exercise by Coventry. What we saw on that night was not 6 heats of "speedway". It was some young lads trying their best on a pudding of a track. To regain any good faith surely it should have been free admission to another Storm meeting. If they are charging £1 for each heat we should claim back £1 for every 5 minutes we were sitting in the freezing cold waiting for something to happen....not to mention the £2 wasted on a pathetic "programme". As others have said it was a shambolic night from start to finish and this paltry gesture sums it up!
