SteveLyric2
I think Doyley already had contracts sorted abroad - in fact he would still have raced in the Polish/Swedish leagues even if his UK visa application had finally failed. As regards the '20 hours', I don't believe him being an EL Number 1 with Leicester will allow him to do any PL meetings

The White Knight
Any particular reason why? Yes! IF the Elite League is the TOP League that folk claim it to be then Jason Doyle would be too good for the Premier League. It would be like feeding candy (money) to a baby. THAT is of course, IF the Elite League is that strong. Edited March 18, 2014 by The White Knight

Excellent to watch on the track, always gives 100% and a genuine draw crowd wise. Having seen him in action in the pits before and during meetings he's an excellent captain. Always willing to help out the youngsters ( provided they're willing to listen), geeing up the team and a good laugh to boot. Keeps the team on their toes. In short I'd have him lead my team any day of the week.

The problem is that I keep being told that the Elite League is far superior to the Premier League. If that is the case - then he must be far too good a Rider for mere Premier League racing. He is an Elite League Number One after all. Craig Cook would probably fit in to the same bracket.
orderly
Jason Doyle was number 1 for Somerset and number 1 for Birmingham at the same time

I would say that man for man (yes I know teams are made up with Prem riders as well) an EL team would beat a PL team 9 times out of 10. However, as you know, I wear 2 coats and would say that, Darcy Ward aside I enjoyed the racing in the PL more last season. The EL is a higher standard than the PL but that does not necessarily equate to better racing.
SteveLyric2
...and anyway this is about what his Tier 5 Visa will allow - and it won't allow both EL and PL!!!

The racing for me, is far better than most, if not all EL tracks.

flagrag
Norrie Allen said on Saturday at Leicester that if Jason did not have the permit in his hand by Tuesday so that he could arrive Wed/thurs then they would be resubmitting the team with Kenni Larson in his place until Jason can get over here. This is due to Leicester not being allowed a guest and RR would not work.
