george.m
Just love all these Glasgow wooden spoons. Last time Speedway Star journos had us favourites for that we won the league. Â

Bagpuss
All the people tipping Panthers to win the fours obviously don't realise Dryml isn't available. Don't think it matters too much, Blackbird will have another good year IMO and will be dynamite round the EoES by then. Â Well, we're on the cusp of a new season and all the teams are pretty much nailed down. Time to make your forecasts, so we can see at the end of the season whose forecast was most accurate:- Â Who will win the: Â Premier Shield: NEWCASTLE Premier League Play-Offs: PETERBOROUGH First Place (at end of regular season): IPSWICH Premier League Cup: WORKINGTON Premier League KO Cup: NEWCASTLE Premier League Riders Championship: SIMON STEAD Premier League Pairs: SOMERSET Premier League Fours: PETERBOROUGH Finally, The Wooden Spoon! PLYMOUTH Â Good Luck to you all! Edited March 8, 2014 by Bagpuss
proud panther
Hope you are right Bagpuss, & agree that Lewis could surprise a few people this year. Has certainly got some top engines under him.

RedcarRacer
Redcar racer whats your problem with plymouth  I have no problem with Plymouth, big fan of them and always have loved having them in the PL. Just like with Redcar and Glasgow, think they have a poor side this year. Granted if they find a good replacement for Alex Davies, then they could do okay and if Davies arrives, then yeah they may not get the wooden spoon - but they will be in the mix that is for sure. Paulco
Glasgow mid table hopefully above edinburgh will do me. An admirable philosophy , but is finishing above the salt and sauce mob the extent of our ambitions ? This looks the worst Edinburgh side since the heydays of Carsten Schott . The blessed Cookie has peaked and will now channel his energies into Belle Vue , Masters fluked the PLRC a couple of years back , but has never scaled any great heights at PL league racing , apart from a paid maximum in Glasgow colours at Leicester in 2011 , and he's missed a year . The Golden Child might put half a point on his average , Desperate Deek is past it , never heard of Aaron Fox , might have been better going for Samantha instead . And Justin Sedgmen has been binned everywhere he's been , while the lesser Worrall proves ability doesn't run in the genes . If we canny finish above that mob we can chuck it .

torpointfanatic22
Premier Shield - Newcastle Premier League play offs - Workington First place - Workington Premier League Cup - Scunthorpe Premier KO Cup - Workington PLRC - Craig Cook PL Pairs - Sheffield PL Fours - Peterborough Wooden Spoon - Redcar  I have no problem with Plymouth, big fan of them and always have loved having them in the PL. Just like with Redcar and Glasgow, think they have a poor side this year. Granted if they find a good replacement for Alex Davies, then they could do okay and if Davies arrives, then yeah they may not get the wooden spoon - but they will be in the mix that is for sure.  I think it will all depend on the first eight matches as to how far off the pace Benko is - If he surprises a few we could do okay, but I'd be shocked if after four home and four away we aren't already looking at two changes and that alone could make a huge difference. It's always difficult to predict these things as teams can change so much throughout the season but I fancy your lot and Glasgow to be below us on current line ups.

I thought Glasgow were favourites for the wooden spoon last year and that was what prompted Sean Courtney to say he would run naked round Ashfield if we finished last?
