Beat The Bookie Gp Prize Competition 2014

Recommended Posts

After a month recuperating in the bookies 2nd home-Barbados it`s time to do battle with you Speedway punters.I`m so confident of taking everyone to the cleaners I`m pricing up early for the opening GP in New Zealand.
There are several small changes to last years competition-in which Wheels-in-line won money plus a unique Tai Woffinden souvenir.
RULES
each contestant must place bets in all 12 rounds-in the event of having no money left they are out of the competition
Each player starts with £300. MAXIMUM BET PER GP IS £200.minimum bet per GP is £20(or total balance if less than £20) minimum bet per rider is £10.
If a rider is injured before a round starts then a bet is voided on that rider,or bets can be amended upto the meeting start time.
If a rider starts a meeting but is injured and cannot continue THE BET STANDS but any points scored by the reserves count towards the injured riders score. If any rider is excluded for a starting offence the reserve points scored do not get added.
To ensure fair play bets for the final round may be required to be PM`d to me instead of normal posting.

A WARNING SPREAD BETTING CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR WEALTH.

spreads for opening round New Zealand Saturday 5th April 2014 start time 18.00 local(think it`s 6am uk time)

Ward 12 - 14
Holder 12 - 14
Woffinden 12 - 14
Hampel 11 - 13
Pedersen 11 - 13
NKI 11 - 13
Hancock 10 - 12
Zagar 7 - 9
Jonsson 7 - 9
Bjerre 7 - 9
Kasprzak 7 - 9
Lindgren 6 - 8
Harris 4 - 6
Batchelor 2 - 4
Smolinski 2 - 4
Bunyan 1 - 3
HOW TO PLAY
One must bet on a rider to score MORE OR LESS than the spread-the HIGHER figure is taken for MORE bets and the LOWER for LESS bets-the mid between the two is what I expect them to score-and they add up to 138 which is the total points available in a GP
EXAMPLE
player one wants £50 Hancock MORE(than 12) and £50 Jonsson LESS(than 7)
Hancock scores 15 so he wins -Hancock (15-12 x £50=£150 and Jonsson scores 6 so he wins (7-6 =1 x £50=£50.
Conversely if Hancock had a mare and scored 6 and Jonsson scored 10 he would lose (12-6=6 x £50=£300 and (10-7=3x £50=£150.

So basically you could bet 20 on Darcy scoring more than 14 and 20 on Tai scoring more.

Both crash out in heat one and you are out of the competition even though you bet just 40 of your 300 ?

Will still have a go and BUY Batchelor @ £170 and have a little faith in Fast Freddie by BUY @ £30

Conversely if you had bet them as LESS you would be quids in-however as I stated in the rules the reserve replacements points scored count in the injured riders total.
