Fromafar
What nonsense, Emil's manager has his riders interests at heart and by that, It means looking out for Emil financially in the long-term. Most speedway riders don't prioritize the world title over £££. Careful you are starting to think too much.Your better at the nonsense posting. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I find it very hard to believe Sayfutdinov cannot afford to compete. He is pretty much nailed on to make at least a semi in at least half of the rounds even if he does poorly. That would be £50k+ in prize money in addition to the annual upfront fee. Id be confident to say he must pick up some decent sponsorship even if it is less than for the euro comp. If if cant at least break even on those figures Id be surprised. Finances are a smokescreen IMO.
New Science
THOSE with the talent to win it should certainly do so.This is precisely the attitude that allows the F.I.M not to increase the prize money on a regular basis and pocket it for themselves. Why should the F.I.M increase the prize money when the glory on offer is enough.Everyone should wake up,this is professional sport and the world champion should be paid accordingly what the sport can afford. severnsider
Think the comment by Phil Rising May have been misunderstood by New Science. Think he meant will make good money from winning title rather than title enough
PHILIPRISING
BEEN lucky enough to know all the World Champions for the past 48 years pretty well and none of them put money before winning their first title. It's like putting the cart before the horse. Plenty of other sportsmen or women do exactly the same.

BWitcher
Peoples outlook on life sometimes change, personal circumstances change, Speedway riders are human beings. It has got absolutely nothing to do with Emil or his 'outlook' on life, he is doing as he is told. He very likely has been given little to no choice. oldace
Peoples outlook on life sometimes change, personal circumstances change, Speedway riders are human beings. You really think this is Emil's decision. The lad is clearly being used and having his ambitions sacrificed because of it.
Vince
Are you seriously suggesting that it's taken till now for Emil to decide he hasn't got the finances to compete? Plans are put into place a long time before now. Possibly he was still hopeful of getting what he was owed or had a potential sponsor that didn't work out. Personally I think this is one of those conspiracy theories that has just enough background to seem plausible but has no real evidence behind it. oldace
Emil is riding for Torun. Gollob is riding for Torun. Emil and Gollob have quit the GPs. The owner at Torun owns the rights to the SEC. What a spooky co-incidence eh?! Possibly he was still hopeful of getting what he was owed or had a potential sponsor that didn't work out. Personally I think this is one of those conspiracy theories that has just enough background to seem plausible but has no real evidence behind it. Bit of circumstantial there don't you think. Vince
Bit of circumstantial there don't you think. Possibly but countered easily by the idea that one rider is toward the end of his career and looked totally uninterested during some GP's last year while the other is known to be in financial difficulties and returning from injury. The truth is that we'll probably never know and will all have our own opinion, mine is that it's a conspiracy theory and that Emil will one day be World Champion. Do you know he is in financial difficulties? Not being paid an amount last season doesn't mean he is in financial difficulties this. We've already been informed he upgraded his entire teams flights to New Zealand.. not a sign of someone in financial difficulty. I trust we won't be seeing him racing in the upcoming Pairs event due to his 'injuries' and 'financial difficulties'.
Gambo
I wonder if Emil is going to take part in GP Qualifiers for 2015? The way he has withdrawn from this season's series is hardly likely to guarantee him a Wild Card place whenever his advisers say that it is OK for him to return to the GP's. ATB Dave I cant imagine the GP qualifier play too well so he probably wont have the money to compete. It's just a never ending spiral of despair now for poor young Emil. Unless someone starts an internet campaign to raise money for him. There was one this winter for Kevin Wölbert,as it seemed he was about to give up speedway because he was skint, and i read earlier there is one for a Dutch Ice Speedway rider,so why not for Emil?
