iris123
Think this is the situation i explained on the other thread about nationalities.Joonas gets the best of both worlds as i predicted. He gets the benefit of a Swedish licence in Sweden and also gets a wildcard for having Finnish nationality
Ghostwalker
What makes you think he is? "KYLMAKORPI FLIES FINNISH FLAG". Think this is the situation i explained on the other thread about nationalities.Joonas gets the best of both worlds as i predicted. He gets the benefit of a Swedish licence in Sweden and also gets a wildcard for having Finnish nationality Yes I know he has dual citizenships and dual licenses but that is not the point. The point is that a rider should stick to one license/season rather then changing from one event to another.
Bavarian
No great surprise Joonas Kylmakorpi wild card in Tampere. Well, it IS a great surprise after all the hazzle about Kylmäkorpi on a SVEMO License. There was every indication that Timo Lahti would get the Tampere wild card. Anyway I think Kylmäkorpi is the better choice and he deserves this Finnish GP wildcard.

The way i understand it is he only has dual citizenship, not licences. He only has one of those per season, surely?
f-s-p
"KYLMAKORPI FLIES FINNISH FLAG". Yes I know he has dual citizenships and dual licenses but that is not the point. He has dual citizenship and is currently riding on a Swedish license, under SVEMO. But he can line up for Finland in the longtrack team final in August, if he has not ridden/been nominated for the Swedish national team (thats the keyword!) in any FIM competition prior to that. The title in the news story should say "SWEDISH KYLMÄ FLIES FINNISH FLAG"
MattR
Do they still have the Helsinki ex-pats v Stockholm e-pats cricket match in the summer in that park just north of the city centre? Hi Martin. Sorry not to get back earlier.. You got roped into one of those games?? What year mate? I was also press-ganged around 93-95. Luck to be alive.. Some of those ****s took it very seriously bitd. Glad to say the Helsinki CC now have serious competition from all the Indian/Pakistani lads here now who regularly trash the crap out of them. You were asking about beer. It's cheaper in Finland these days. 24-pack of 4.6% fizzy rubbishe costs about 20€ in the bigger supermarkets. My home-brew costs considerably less and is considerably stronger and superior however. I'll be travelling the whole of the GP weekend mate, so unlikely to be able to hook-up, sadly - unless at the event.. Will PM you with my number anyway. Especially that lot from Tampere. Keep it extra zipped when in their presence. Has he invited anyone for a Sauna yet?
f-s-p
Just read from my email that Kauko Nieminen is #17 and Juha Hautamäki #18 for this meeting. I had a really nice sauna booked for the whole gp weekend, really nicely situated at the city center. Would have welcomed a hundred guests. Had to give it away and having a few drinks with friends instead.

It's public knowledge he doesnt want to be there. Instead planning to lineup at Daugavpils for the SEC quali, which apparently WILL be held on may 17th, not on may 4th like the sec site said a week ago. And people wonder why some of us have an issue with the SEC!
Bavarian
To Your information the SEC Quali was set for May 4 at Rivne in the Ukraine. This has been cancelled due to the polticial situation in the Ukraine, and Daugavpils has now taken over this meeting, but at later date which is May 17th.
iris123
And people wonder why some of us have an issue with the SEC! Don't think you can blame the SEC for Timo not wanting to be there.Maybe blame the FIM/BSI
f-s-p
Don't think you can blame the SEC for Timo not wanting to be there.Maybe blame the FIM/BSI I actually think scb was implying on the date of the sec quali and me saying it's not on may 4 as one sport says. Havent seen the 17th confirmed anywhere yet. I heard it from a source reliable enough to quote...
iris123
Oh so the SEC gets the blame for the problems in the Ukraine.I guess they are also to blame for the missing plane in the Indian ocean and Manchester Utd getting knocked out of the Champions League
