PHILIPRISING
What now? One of the reserves to ride the whole meeting? WAITING for official confirmation from the Jury meeting but that looks the case. KK couldn't even make it round the admittedly tight corners this afternoon. So many of the top boys curtailed practice... Pedersen, Bjerre, Lindgren and Hampel in addition to KK only took three of their six runs. "Wow, it's fast," was a typical comment from riders out today and Hancock added that it actually rides very different to how it looked when he walked the track earlier in the day. PHILIPRISING
CLEAR blue sky and getting warmer in Tampere ... expect some fast racing this evening but on a tight track passing might be at a premium. Big money going on Iversen and Hancock but Woffinden looks more confident than of late.

PHILIPRISING
Is it Leicester-shaped? SORRY haven't been there ... like Ullevi but with tighter corners. Long way from the start to first corner. Good piece with Kelvin Tatum on speedwaygp.com Big track, narrow bends, is it anything like the old Exeter track, Phil? If it is, this could be Harris' best chance to do something. JT. Ghostwalker
Hee Hee hopefully they'll both be removed. Luckily i'm only seeing the post late in the afternoon after a very late night lol. Then why did you post it in the first place? Just because someone else violates the rules doesn't mean you have to do the same.

OK enough, we're here to talk about the racing, but one question where was your censuring of the post that i responded to??? Tell you what don't bother answering, the speedway is about to start. Weather for tomorrow should be fine. Word is that all tickets will have gone today and that they are looking to squeeze a few more in! Excellent facilities for fans, riders and the media. Finnish TV showing the SGP live ... normally it goes out the following week. I was thinking this was one of the best posts to read for a long time and i was going to add let's hope we get one very important thing....speedway RACING. CLEAR blue sky and getting warmer in Tampere ... expect some fast racing this evening but on a tight track passing might be at a premium. What a monumental downer and waste if this does transpire. Everything was pointing to a fantastic opportunity to not only give the sport a boost in Finland but i would imagine also Scandinavia. I agree totally with what Peter Collins said in a Speedway Star article a couple or so years ago when he stated that in order to get good racing with riders being prepared and able to overtake it's the width of the track that is the key factor. I've even seen in video clips from America where despite being tiny tracks and you'd think you couldn't help have all four riders together you can get a rider(s) pulling out a big lead, or positions not changing at all. However on some of those small circuits you get lots of passing and it's on the wider small circuits where that happens.
brandonbee48
Hi all During the rider introductions there look to be a lot of people still to come in, if it is a sell out. Lovely weather.
manchesterpaul
Hi all Evening/afternoon. Do hope the SGP isn't the weak link of the three great sporting events i'm watching right now, the other two being the FA Cup Final and Spanish title decider. Worried at all the recent talk on here and on tv about the track being too narrow to allow for good racing Edited May 17, 2014 by manchesterpaul

brandonbee48
Superb picture on the official stream, but no commentary whatsoever. Last one they plugged in the UK commentary, but hey i'll take the picture every time, I know it's a GP but I wish for a false start they brought them straight back round again. This endless faffing around ignores the paying punters. Such is life and it won't change. Bit of a dust storm already, particularly on turns 3 and 4. Hope water is cheap in Finland.
