greyhoundp
Right lads lets have a bit of fun, pick YOUR team within the averages, then at the end of season, we total up those seven averages, and the highest combined average wins. So come on, we all fancy ourselves as Team managers lol, lets see who can really do it. It would be nice if Proud Potter, Jayne, and Dale would join in . Averages to be The official green sheets only. Whoops I forgot my old mate Main man, Im sure he would love to choose a team for this, but then I guess he will have no choice but to pick The Storm team.. Islander15
I think Scunthorpe will have one or two 3.00 men who will significantly increase their average! It's your thread greyhoundp and you haven't had a go yourself
Neil H
Is this thread here to help Leicester sort their Trophy team out?

vog
Go on then, I'll give this a shot 1) Stefan Nielsen 8.00 2) Luke Crang 4.87 3) Tom Perry 6.30 4) Liam Carr 6.87 5) Josh Bates 7.49 6) Danny Phillips 3.00 7) Brandon Freemantle 3.00 And, if someone could build that team, it would be VERY fun to watch each week!

teddy2706
Can I please have: Gary Irving Luke Crang Tim Webster James Sergeant Ryan Blacklock Tom Woolley Ryan Terry-Daley 39.7 I think? Can I please race at Owlerton or the Island or Hyde rd or Exeter it is a fantasy team after all. I don't really care if they comply to the points limit (although I really, really wanted Rambo in my team too)I would just like to watch these lads tearing round a nice big track. bolly
Haven't seen much NL since regular meetings at Rye ended, but these 7 seem to all have a good chance of improving Ben Morley 7.13 Luke Chessell 4.22 Tom Perry 6.30 Liam Carr 6.87 Lewis Rose 6.76 Matt Williamson 3.33 Jack Kingston 4.
greyhoundp
After having had the weekend to think about it, here is my Team; Stefan Nielsen 8.00 Darren Mallett 6.04 Stevie Worrall 7.09 Dan Greenwood 5.74 Tom Perry 6.30 Brandon Freemantle 3.00 Danny Philips 3.00 Total 39.17 I would expect several of these riders to improve considerably over the season, big seasons ahead for Perry & Greenwood, do they improve or are they at there level ?. Nielsen and Worrall will definately improve, Mallett neeeds an injury free season, Freemantle & Phillips should be amongst the Top reserves in the NL. The only reason i didnt select James McBain is i believe he will move into the main body of the Stoke Team, after the 1st set of averages. 21st century heathen
Wow, I had to make some tough calls even in speedway fantasy-land. Worrall - 7.09 O Greenwood - 6.89 Rose - 6.76 Perry - 6.30 D Greenwood - 5.74 Kingston - 4.20 Freemantle - 3.00 = 39.98 And if any of them let me down I'll not think twice about sacking them next season.
Main Man
good to see a fair few going for Coventry Storm riders !
waco
Of course Main Man this thread has a strong midlands bias which i suppose is understandable in a way so many of the clubs in the league coming from that area...
Wessex Wanderer
Don't get to see much of my favourite league these days, also don't know much about current averages either but here goes: Joe Jacobs Lewis Rose Josh Bates Brendon Johnson Daryl Ritchings Ryan Blacklock Matt Williamson I don't really care if my team wins but they are all favourites who I have enjoyed watching. Thanks for starting this thread.
AtticusMaximus
Hi there everyone! Have been reading all your NL posts for the last year or so and found it quite entertaining. Thought it about time I joined in and saw this thread as the ideal opportunity. So here goes: 1. Stefan Nielsen 8.00 2. Jack Kingston 4.20 3. Steve Worrall 7.09 4. Liam Carr 6.87 5. Josh Bates 7.49 6. Danny Phillips 3.00 7. Arron Mogridge 3.00 Total 39.65 Hope I got my sums right! General opinion seems to be that both Stefan Nielsen and Steve Worrall are on horribly false averages and should be able to do what Lewis Blackbird did last season i.e. be near unbeatable. Third heat leader Josh Bates looked a class act last season in only his second season. I think he made the right decision opting to go Premier with Sheffield rather than take his Elite place through the draft. Second strings Liam Carr and Jack Kingston are riders that have made big impressions in relatively short careers. Danny Phillips on a 3 at reserve is a must especially after what he did in the few meetings for Mildenhall last season. He made us a different team and it was very disappointing he didn't sign - even worse that he went to the old enemy Cradley!! Finally, an unknown at seven with Arron Mogridge. A familiar family name not always a good indicator, but the fact that he is rated by Scunthorpe with their reputation for unearthing talent, that's good enough for me. 21st century heathen
The only question mark over that team would be Arron but apart from that there's isn't a weak link. It'll be interesting to revisit this thread at the end of the season and see what our dream teams have averaged.

CaptainAudi
1. James Sarjeant 7.38 2. Luke Crang 4.78 3. Liam Carr 6.87 4. Tom Perry 6.30 5. Lewis Rose 6.76 6. Danny Philips 3.00 7. Brendan Johnston 4.84 Total: 39.93 Looks a decent team on paper, not sure on NL form of the likes of Perry and Rose, just going by their PL scores.
