Woffinden Named As Team Gb Skipper

Recommended Posts

Best of luck to Tai - he deserves this chance. First good move by Alun Rossiter. :t::approve:

Perhaps his next decision could be to get a LARGE Union Flag on the front of the Great Britain Racejackets? :approve:

COME ON Alun - you can do it. :t::approve:

It won't make them go any quicker, having top class tuned machinery as the Danish and Polish teams all have in world cup week is a more reasonable request.

I'm a Traditionalist.

I believe the Clubs should have their Logos PROMINENTLY displayed too.

Good move. Surely the obvious choice?

And some say i state the obvious. Tai needs to put himself about a bit in the pits.

Maybe Tai can get Peter Johns to do all the Team GB machinery?!

That would be a good start. Im sure Johnsy could come to some sort of arrangement.. ROSCO.... Pick up the Dog..

Great decision. Hopefully leads to Bomber being dropped and young blood brought in

you reckon we got young blood good enough to ride against the likes of Poland and Denmark cos we havn,t raced since October last year and there wasn,t anyone apart from Craig Cook good enough then and I don,t see any saviours riding over the crest of a hill to do it this year .But heigh ho anything to have a dig at Bomber

It isn't England, pure, simple or anything else. Whether you approve of the "team GB" stuff is another matter but the team is Great Britain. Just because the riders all come from England is neither here nor there. Its like saying the team that won the 1984 world pairs was "Manchester" pure and simple because the team came from there.

The team that competes is the ACUs representative team. The ACU represents speedway in Great Britain and so the team is Great Britain (pure and simple)

Yes but Manchester is not a country

And we all know it's 'England' really. We just call it GB so the other three very very minor partners don't feel left out.

Good luck to Tai and frankly he will need it as he will be carrying 3 riders on his back throughout the whole week.
