OHHHHH!! Come on iris123 - this Forum is for our enjoyment and pleasure. No need to be nasty.

Live and let live.

For sure. But someone who mis-uses the forum constantly has no right to be on it.

He made a right pest over topics going "off topic" then a few days later say's "I'm just going to go off topic here...." He has admitted he had a number of user names(which is against the rules by the way)that would hold a conversation with opposing views to help 'stimulate' the topic.Or in my opinion he would obviously say things he didn't believe to get a reaction.Imo it isn't right to constantly make a pest of yourself with the mods.

Just for the record I never have and never will 'moderate' any topic I have been involved in. Funnily enough this topic HAS been reported although not by you so your little attack seems a bit pointless.

Also for the record I acknowledged the report to the person who DID report it and explained why I would not act and they have stated they understood. So your comment above is in this case not only a bit of irrelevant guess work but also a downright untruth. I wont hold my breath for an apology on that.

Your constant digs are getting very tiresome

Lioness: I accept all your comments. I do appreciate what a thankless job it is to be a moderator - "you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all the people all the time!'

But after some 60 years involvement with journalism I never take any thing at face value! That's why I don't always take at face value - or sometimes - respect all the Posts that appear on the BSF.

But the majority are of a good and interesting standard.

And, may I say, criticism is something we should all accept - but not the constant sniping from a handful of posters at virtually every topic that one puts forward. But I know that they do enjoy themselves acting like this so must accept their right to do this I suppose.

There is a major difference between not taking things at face value and telling blatant lies with false untrue allegations. Just as well I didn't hold my breath for an apology for the false slander (as the courts bizarrely call libel on message boards)

Con Migro, the man-in-charge, at the Perth Motorplex in West Australia, has just sent me this email message re Tai Woffinden:

"World Speedway champion "TERRIFIC" Tai Woffindin was back home in Perth for short time.

"The mighty champion raced a Wingless Sprint Car and demonstrated he is just as skilled on four as he is on two wheels."

The photos, taken by Peter Roebuck, can be viewed at -

To get back on topic. I have asked Con Migro why Tai Woffinden tried out in a sprint car at the Perth Motorplex. One could wonder if he perhaps see his speedway destiny eventually as a sprint car driver?

In the USA, the top sprint car drivers earn megabucks, while they top drivers in Australia and New Zealand also earn far more than the solo speedway riders.

One of the first Australian speedway riders to switch to sprint cars with success was John Boulger, while from time to time there have been indications that Jason Crump could eventtually participate in the formula - there have been comments to this effect in Austraian publications in recent years. And Jason Bunyan has also been linked with a possible switch eventually to the formula in New Zealand.

However, of more importance is to see what Tai Woffinden will achieve in the forthcoming New Zealand GP. I am certain that speedway will be his priority for many years to come.

If you feel that I owe you an apology then I unreservedly give it to you. I am uncertain where or how I have given offence to you and would assure you that if I have it was not intententional. Sorry!
