Not sure what a CLF is.

Announcement from Gorzow due later today about the WSL though. I also heard from Germany that there is news there that Gorzow will be picking up the pieces that Poole had left scattered around...and good on Gorzow for doing so.

Should be a good weekend then on 25-26 April with the WSL at Gorzow on the Saturday and a little drive up the road for Grudziadz v Stal Gorzow on the Sunday.

Save yourself a few miles and see Zielona Gora v Torun instead- it will be a better match ;)

Which is a bit like asking an Arsenal fan not to watch his team but to go to see Spurs v Chelski instead... lol :-)

Anyway, on to the main event...for which this year there is only one rider with ties to two participating teams - Bartosz Zmarzlik, who'll be riding for Stal Gorzow in this event...what do we have? Well how about this...

4 National Champions Teams:

Stal Gorzow

Elit Vetlanda

Poole Pirates

Holsted

...containing...

3 Past World Champions:

Tai Woffinden

Nicki Pedersen

Chris Holder

SGP Winners

Krzysztof Kasprzak

Bartosz Zmarzlik

Matej Zagar

...not bad for an "irrelevant" "Mickey Mouse" "waste of time" meeting, is it?

Poole has withdrawn from this years WSL and therefore Kings Lynn will ride.

After all the hyping up of the meeting Matt did last year and the year before, how odd.

And to prove what a joke it is, the UK places has not even been offered to 2nd place Coventry!

Perhaps the F.I.M don't recognise Poole as champs as they want Darcy points to be removed as per his sentence. That would've made Kings Lynn top. Could've asked the runners up 1st though.

It was a "Mickey Mouse" competition when Falubaz Zielona Gora staged it lol As for now, I think it's a good event to follow. Can't condem an event just because it "wasn't invented here". It's Poole's fault that the event is now being held in Poland again. They had the chance to host it, and fluffed it. On the subject of Poole Pirates, are they now throwing a sulk over losing Darcy Ward in that FIM decision by pulling out?

As I understand it, this being an FIM event, it takes precidence over the PL, doesn't it? So yes, Robert Lambert may get the taste of some top class international action, which will be to his benefit.

I don't think Poole "fluffed it" at all. More likely the financial side of things makes it unviable to run in a stadium with a capacity of 5500? Edited by Pirate Nick

Quite correct. Also, When Poole were considering hosting it, the date was Friday 24th April. Once FIM insisted it being on Saturday 25th, it ruled out Poole due to no track availability.
