proud panther
Wonder what the next press release will contain after tonight's farce. Wonder if they will blame the referee.
moxey63
I only have to repeat my feelings... speedway doesn't deserve SKY, supporters (what's left, haven't been driven away) or even to be considered a serious sport. I stand by my views, if a sport isn't worth the effort from the so-called professionals running it, then why should fans stand by and wacth... and even pay good money to do so. R.I.P.
2ndbendbeerhut
that first bend looks shocking! And whats up with Ward's voice? Edited March 23, 2014 by 2ndbendbeerhut
Jacques
So was there heavy rain overnight as Chris Louis is suggesting?
screm
Giving the track conditions he faced at Belle Vue last year, you would've thought Darcy Ward would've been keen.
mike1944
Chris Louis said they had been working on the track for the last three or four hours, to quote Ed Balls and Ed Miliband — "too little too late"
ytsejam
He maybe a great rider but does Woffenden really think that he looks ANYTHING other than a complete tool?!!!.....
phillipsr
Whoever is responsible for this crap should reinburse all fans who have made the trip. By this i dont just mean tell them they can come for free when its re-staged i mean pay for fuel, time wasted the lot.
Pirate Nick
So was there heavy rain overnight as Chris Louis is suggesting? I'd say ask him but he's probably too busy planting potatoes
2ndbendbeerhut
Stadium looks as though no one been given the keys over the winter!
full-throttle
So was there heavy rain overnight as Chris Louis is suggesting? there was a shower at about 1230 that lasted all of ten minutes, i was near the binley rd fire station at the time
Trees
Aw, was so looking forward to watching this on TV tonight :-( So no more big meetings at Coventry then! Take it to Peterborough or Lynn ✴
moxey63
I am sure I just witnessed a bulldozer closing in further towards the Brandon Bowl. Probably more chance of finding that missing plane than Coventry seeing out the season.
Gavan
How was the track at Belle Vue raceable last season yet this is called off! Smacks of double standards!
Poole Quay 7
Pathetic from the Coventry ground-staff and management. I feel for the people who spent good money only to arrive at the stadium to be given news like that. SteveLyric2
I'd say ask him but he's probably too busy planting potatoes or digging them up!!!! Not sure how much of this is down to Coventry or Sky's Track Co-ordinator, Ronnie Russell - you know the same Ronnie Russell that oversaw that track at BV v Poole last season??!! Just hope someone can get it right before the first Sky EL meeting Bees v Pirates on 14th April!! LagutaRacingFan
Paul Burbidge @Paul_Burbidge 5m I hasten to add Coventry #Speedway didn't employ the track curator. The stadium did. They've just shafted the Bees.
westhamboy66
Sorry for everyone who made the trip.
Wolfsbane
Chuck all the Sky kit into the trucks, 30 miles up the M6, Wolves v Brum tomorrow night, sorted. Bet the guy from Sky who signed the contract will be making himself scarce in Isleworth for the next few days. A hammer blow for Coventry Speedway, as if it needed it
Star Lady
Random thought... Curator not part of speedway promotion but from stadium. Now stadium has been sold and speedway guaranteed for 3 years. Not if the promotion pulls out tho....think about it
