Dutch/belgian Speedway 2014

The calendar for the Dutch (and Belgian) speedway meetings has been announced a few days ago. It's not entirely sure what kind of meetings will be raced, but the dates are fixed now. There is a chance that there will be quite a few Dutch Speedway league meetings in 2014 including one in Belgium, but this is all to be confirmed.

19 - Blijham (NL) - open practice

26 - Heusden-Zolder (BE) - open practice

27 - Heusden-Zolder (BE) - Helzold Speedway Championship

Mai

17 - Blijham (NL) - DSL, round 1

31 - Veenoord (NL) - DSL, round 2

June

09 - Blijham (NL) - International speedway

21 - Heusden-Zolder (BE) - open practice

22 - Heusden-Zolder (BE) - DSL, round 3

July

06 - Lelystad (NL) - DSL, round 4

August

23 - Heusden-Zolder (BE) - open practice

24 - Heusden-Zolder (BE) - Gouden Helm Speedway

September

27 - Veenoord (NL) - Golden helmet

October

05 - Lelystad (NL) - Dutch Open

 

 

Looks pretty promising considering last years disaster (cancellation after cancellation). More info soon! :t:

On sunday april 27 the SpeedwayClub Helzold opens the Belgian season with the Helzold Speedway Championship.

In this race riders of 9 different nations will take part.

Only worrying thing is, there was more than the 8 spectators seen in the seated section wasn't there? I do hope so as there is some fine work going on to get Dutch speedway up and running to a higher level.

Yes this is my website :) My colleague was there to take the pics and write report because I was in Tampere.

The Blijham club made a mess of there promotion of the event = nothing at all. Next round is in Veenoord next weekend, should be a better crowd. Avarages around 1000 every year for a national event. Heusden-Zolder should get a crowd like that as well, Lelystad will be a problem again.
