pandorum
What about fractions? Are they allowed? And decimals. I would choose 3.142 just to show I am 'cleverer' than the rest Edited February 14, 2014 by pandorum

Bavarian
The Speedway World's gone mad this winter. It has all become a joke. Is this the beginning of the end?

Having riders choose numbers is definitely a sign of the apocalypse.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Perhaps this is the solution to the FIM/SEC problem. Nicki Pedersen can ride SEC and No5 in the SGP! Nicki not in both then!
John Leslie
I thought it was because Terry Russell had signed a deal with Barbara Windsor for a Speedway GP gala bingo game during the adverts. Personally I'd choose 5318008 just in case I fell off and landed in the fence upside down.

New Science
If you've ever been to F1 / Moto GP you'll see how much merch is sold and worn a weekend. Same with football, most of the crowd buy a jersey. Its up to the SGP organizers and riders to market and sell it, numbers or not.Not sure the riders are embracing the changing of race numbers they so actively craved. With only 12 days to go before the first GP of the season only 2 riders (Smolinski and Zagar) have merchandising for sale on their website with their racing number on it.As these 2 riders have always historically branded themselves with their adopted race number it seems absolutely nothing has changed since this ground breaking rule was brought in.If the riders aren't going to market the relevant merchandise what's the point ? manchesterpaul
Yes. Having riders choose numbers is definitely a sign of the apocalypse. Lol. OK only important thing i need to know is will it improve the quality of racing?. It will won't it? I'd sell my soul to the devil (again*) if it would. *(ok that was a Jessica Alba request thing) Edited March 24, 2014 by manchesterpaul
