Gazc
Nope I would be gutted!! Compare Justin with Dmitri Verge or whatever he's called. Our man is a stick on to increase his average heavily. The Glasgow man will do well to drop his by only 2 points!! Based on what Sedgemen's Redcar form and that you are also the expert on Berge whom i assume you have seen ride more than once to make this assumption. TheScotsman
Based on Justin's form in 2011 and 2012. Which included ......... (2011 - Newport) 10 paid 12 at Edinburgh including a win over Cookie. 13 paid 14 at home to Sheffield 13 at Ippo Plus various 8's, 7's, 6's. (2012 - Redcar) 10 at Sheffield 16 paid 17 at home to Sheffield 12 at Glasgow including a win over Grieves Plus various 9's, 8's 7's 6's. All from the main body of the team - not from reserve where he will start 2014. And from the EL in 2012............ (Lakeside) 11 paid 12 at Coventry. 8 paid 9 v Wolves including a win over Freddie Lindgren 8 paid 9 v Belle Vue 8 paid 9 at Wolves Plus a 7 and a couple of 6's. And his recent form in Oz. Buy heyho if you don't think the sensible money is on Justin to massively outscore the Frenchman then so be it. I'm happy to put 50p on it! And no I have never seen Berge ride. But he has no UK experience to note. And I have seen reports that he was outshone at Berwick by Liam Carr. And he starts 2014 in the main body of the team. castrolargh
On decent machinery there is no reason why Ulrich Ostergaard couldn't put a couple of points on his average now he has the eoes as his home track
george.m
Berge = Long term signing. Yes a risk, but one worth taking
spin king junior
Berge = Long term signing. Yes a risk, but one worth taking I don't think at this point Glasgow can afford to take risks! Berge might come good in a couple of season, but its far too soon to put him in the main body of the team and expect him to do much will probably be your downfall of this season. Fair point, but he'll soon be at reserve when the real business starts. Plus, there's nothing more that the Tigers fans like than a newbie making good. That will put bums on seats. And if he comes good? We might get a Brucie bonus transfer fee (if such things still exist) and that will come in useful.

But there was 2 riders I was hoping my team didnt sign... Him and Kus. He usually goes well in oz... But that often means nothing for him over here.... He might be a different rider this year... But we've said that before.
Bellers101
Edinburgh are more than welcome to Sedgeman. I wonder how Long it will be until he decides he is too good for the PL again?

I just expected Glasgow to go down a cheap and cheerful option, but it actually looks quite a pricey side that's quite well built. I still think it would've been a much strong side without Berge, but I hope it all goes well for you! Glasgow are definitely due a good season.

The Glasgow fans deserve a much better season than last. We would have been stronger with a tried and tested rider but who knows. We took a gamble with Nick Morris and his inclusion played a big part in us winning the league. Always good to watch new talent though.
Mr Blobby
Steve Worrall to put around 2 points on his starting average
TheScotsman
Funnily enough I can only find 3 PL zeros through 2011 and 2012!! One at Berwick in 2011 when there were 7 retirements in the meeting which stopped after heat 12 and he had 2 of them. Two in 2012 - for Redcar at home to Scunny and guesting for Sheffield at home to Edinburgh. And 4 EL zeros in 2011 and none in 2012. He is still young and after a year out is much better equipped for this season. So I reckon he will be back to his high scoring form this season. Might even get ahead of the other Aussies in the team!! I think you just might be short sighted about Kus as well!! Both will be way ahead of Berge in the averages!! Steve Worrall to put around 2 points on his starting average Yep - totally agree on that one too!! My concern is whether Aaron Fox will drop his average as much as Berge!! Don't think i ever mentioned Sedgemen outscoring Berge in fact i know i never you did as per above yes Sedgemen has scored well in what you have highlighted but as mentioned in a later post for all his good scores there are as many poor scores just ask the Redcar fans and they will paint a very different picture to what you are painting, and i really couldn't care about Sedgemen or Edinburgh my only interest is with my team Edinburgh fans certainly can't say that or some anyway, some are more interested in all things Glasgow and bring down what happens at Glasgow but whatever floats your boat.
