Predictions For Top 4

Recommended Posts

Look at the side

Simon Stead

recovering from a broken leg always injured

Leigh Lanham

Has seen better days in the twilight of his career

Adam Roynon

Sick note himself recovering from another broken bone & will be injured by May

Taylor Poole

Currently recovering from a badly broken femur & will take a few months to get back to race fitness but certainly has potential

Andre Compton

1 trick pony round Sheffield is all he is good for proven by his scores last season

Simon Neilsen

A gater who doesn't leave the inside slick line but does have potential

Josh Bates

A Young NL standard rider who this is maybe 1 year too early to step up after his disaster 1/2 a year at scunthorpe. Bags of potential if he can stay on the bike. If rumours are to be believed he is only in the side because his grandad is part of the consortium that has brought the promoting rights at Sheffield.

To me that is hardly a top 6 side. Will start the season slow & finish strong but will be too late for top 6

:o:rofl:

You have got to be kidding.

Peterborough, Sheffield, Workington, Newcastle,Scunthorpe & Ipswich for me.

I think I could do an equally good demolition job on every other side in the league.

Stead was one of the top riders in last seasons PL; Lanham improved his average last season; Roynon is a brilliant young rider and the awful injuries he has suffered have often been as a result of freak accidents; Poole is way, way better than that average and has 'potential'; Nielsen has 'potential'; Compton will never get back to the form he had several seasons ago but there's not one club in the league that wouldn't want him at reserve; Bates was brilliant at Edinburgh, he is a local lad, has put 4pts on his Mildenhall average in two seasons and is still just 17.

The reaction of Sheffield fans to the team speaks far more loudly than any words I can write: they are very pleased indeed.

Don't think anybody is expecting him to get back to a 10 point average, but he is capable of making a mockery of his 4.36 average, especially around Sheffield and especially when he is involved from the start of the season and now that he knows setups with the new silencers a bit better. He had the fastest time of the season at Owlerton until the PLRC - the boy still got something

a year of northern dominance, scunny, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Sheffield. outsiders worky. :D

I reckon if you sliced the island exactly in two for a north and south split then Scunny and Sheffield would count as southerners!
