The White Knight
Glad you've finally realised you spout a lot of guff. My hope for 2014 is that you take a leaf out of Bryn's book. Less is more. He may not post as much these days, but when he does, it makes sense. You post all the time, and it's always crap. And just to make it clear, as i know you've quoted this in the last few days - i AM attacking the poster, not the post. I empower the mods to give me a warning as it's frankly worth it when it comes to twats like you. Kind Regards Peed off of Penge.. Shocking Post. Totally uncalled for. Live and let live I say. In this 'Season of Goodwill' could we not try to practice some of it on here.

salty
It was in General Discussions in regard to the British Ice Hockey League. I joined in the general discussion and mentioned some old time teams and players. I also commented on Streatham Redskins which seems to have "caused offence." In cycle speedway I endeavoured to stimulate some debate by mentioning and linking a couple of items that have appeared on that sport's 'The Spokesman' website. It would appear that activities of this kind even on a discussion forum should not be initiated without a previous request for such data by another forum member - at least that's the way I see it. Thanks for your own viewpoint. A pity all this has to be aired in Bryn's excellent topic. Didn't see anything wrong with your posts on the Ice Hockey thread, your moans about people going off the point were another matter though! But I agree with your earlier post regarding your right to post whether people agree with it or not. Back on topic Speedway 2014 - wishes and hopes As few injuries as possible. Good weather and healthy crowds Promoters to spend their energy promoting not looking for (and finding) loopholes in the myriad of rules. Some progress made on an independent overseer?? Hope the policy of two youngsters in the Elite reserve spots is a success. Edited January 3, 2014 by salty

Hopefully this will be the year British speedway turns the corner . I'm a great believer on things being cyclical , we have the World Champion - lets hope that can inspire some more of our promising young riders to make the next leap and begin to take us back to the strength we had in the late seventies and early eighties . Star Lady
Closer racing, fewer injuries, no rule manipulations, fewer fixture changes. That will do for starters and I might get my enthusiasm back. Also I'd like to see Poole amongst the also rans this year and Belle Vue and/or Eastbourne in the top half of the table simply to prove money doesn't buy success and to shake the sport up a bit. That's not a knock at Poole BTW as knock him all you like Matt Ford runs a successful club, whether we approve of or like him personally or not. If we get all that maybe just maybe forum members might post about the racing and leave the boring/contentious/ slagging/hole digging posts behind us in 2013. *oops then I woke up*
The Doctor...
The question here might be how many Mods are there and how many of these are active? And off we go on another tangent ! Pm a mod and ask them to remove the post maybe ? Enough people hit the like button on my post for me to realise that's it not just me who feels that way. I don't hide behind anonymous usernames, i have identified myself several times on this forum, and i post what i feel needs to be said. My hopes for 2014 are for a currently dormant club or two to make real strides towards getting back on track. Oxford would be a good start..
Vince
My biggest hope for this year is that the promoters get behind the spirit of the draft system, give it time to work and don't try to find loopholes. Then that the PL see it as something they should introduce for next year.
Gemini
The question here might be how many Mods are there and how many of these are active? I don't suppose they've got time to trawl through every post to check what members are writing as strangely enough they have work, homelife and family to contend with as well. If you don't like something just click on the report button and then they can decide whether it's warranted or not.. iris123
My guess is,if a word can be used it is ok.If you write a word and it is changed then there is an automatic censor. To me the word used is fairly mild and i can understand why it is sometimes used....... All an aside to the main issue. And another hope of mine is that maybe one or two of the youngsters can achieve some success in the world U21s etc.Would be a great boost to follow on from Tai's world title
