Guest
I know problems with the weather etc, but has anything been done to make sure that all the fixtures will be ridden this year? Do you mean if any provision is being made in regard to Sun Dances to guarantee good weather for all meetings? On a serious note, until the exact composition of the National League for 2014 is made, I doubt that little can be made to ensure that next season will virtually guarantee that all fixtures are completed. I agree with you that the need for completing all scheduled matches should be a priority for 2014.
Hunty
You have some teams starting march and then other starting in may! Last year it would have cost Stoke more money then they would have made to run their meetings so they didnt finish them! Also Kings Lynn v Heathens was a pointless meeting and there were no tickets sold so nobody lost out! Fingers crossed for 11 teams!
Parsloes 1928 nearly
Most teams will start by or at Easter weekend I'd imagine, so how about having earlier deadlines and trying to avoid needing to go into October at all... Having October for the Play Offs and the Cup semis and Final last season proved to be the downfall - because actually though the season was overall one of the driest for years, that final month of October was awful. Set a deadline for the first week in Sept for NL fixtures and then the play-offs to be finished by the first week in October, say. After all, with only 8 teams in the League this should be more than possible..

Mike.Butler
Stoke (amongst others) should be told they must only run official fixtures until they are completed. An incomplete league table is a stain on our sport...the view above that it cost them too much money to run is an acceptable excuse is pitiful.
