EnglishRoundabout
The new season approaches and my interest is nil. Panthers are in an inferior league in a set up which is inferior to the rest of the Speedway world. Panthers have a team comprised of has beens, never weres and never will bees. God help us and Speedway in general.. Keep taking the tablets halcyon.....
Panthers89
I'm looking forward now to the season ahead, season ticket purchased for the first time in a few years, and planning away trips already as looking forward to getting to tracks never been too. Crowds will be up, and the racing will improve IMO, so whats not to like? I think our future lies in the Elite League, BUT for the time being, lets enjoy what we have, and who were sharing it with. Up the Premier League

Up the Premier League Same as you. Season ticket bought for the first time in years and judging by the article in ET today we are not alone. Looking forward to weekly meetings on the same race night, different teams and visiting different away tracks, some for the first time. Can't wait, roll on March 18th (well 17th actually for p&p). Why go onto the Peterborough thread? Why go on.British Speedway forum? . It's a good point. Not particularly happy myself but can't fund Elite League speedway at the moment, which Tsunami says is the criteria for having an opinion, because the Euro Lottery eluded me again last night (same thing every bloody week!). However, it's better to be running than not. Edited March 8, 2014 by Crump99
Paulco
Suppose it's different for us that have had no top flight speedway for years , we are used to PL fare . You still get the odd one or two bemoaning the loss of EL racing on Ipswich threads . But a meeting between two evenly matched sides is a wonderful spectacle at any level , and surely any speedway is better than no speedway at all - which looked like being the case at Peterborough 3 or 4 months ago .

Paulco
Is there any difference between the two leagues anymore? When you see the likes of Jason Doyle riding number 1 for both Birmingham and Somerset last year , it makes you wonder . There still is a bit of a gulf , but that seems to be narrowing year by year
BluPanther
Is there any difference between the two leagues anymore? The only difference is the Elite teams have one, or two in some cases, top line riders. Otherwise it's pretty close in quality, mainly because of so many double uppers. The Elite is still undoubtedly the strongest league, although the Premier does have some cracking race tracks which provide great racing. Both leagues will continue to have my support in 2014...

Just a continuation of the 3 year plan but taking a bit longer until it all merges into one.

proud panther
Ordered my season ticket, & cant wait for the season to start. Looks a very competitive League to me, & think we should see plenty of close matches. Bring it on !!
