Vincent Blachshadow
Believe that if you choose. Of course they would. If signing for an EL team meant they couldn't ride in the PL they'd have to ride EL only and get by on three or four points a match. How many EL riders are in their formative years in the sport? The reason they sign EL at the outset is because they will be loaned out to PL clubs until they become good enough to step up. If that is taken away from them they'd sign at the lower level and wait for an EL team to sign them. If none does, they will still make a living as PL riders. Where will the rider signing EL but not good enough for the top level ride? EL teams would have to buy these riders once they become good enough to ride at the top level ONLY and even then they may decide to stay at PL level - less money per point but more than likely more points scored.Remember, this is only if they can't ride in both leagues. You are right. These days the Elite League Clubs could NOT afford to 'buy' any of the Premier League Riders anyway.

So Poole didn't buy Grajzconek ?? Swindon didnt buy Morris? Belle Vue didnt buy Worrall? Lakeside havent just paid for Lawson??? Wolves didnt buy Wells?? Of course they would. If there was only one league then it would be aimed at the top boys. The rest of the PL standard riders would be part of it.
Noodles
So PLKOC return leg at Scunthorpe arranged for 26th May and yet another match Fisher could miss. Its a 3pm start though so could he get to Brandon in time for the evening?

stevebrum
Relevance to this thread, zero. Who will the last Panther be? A question was asked and a point was made. Perhaps you can let The White Knight and Vincent Blackshadow know they have no relevance on this thread also.

OK to all posts that have no relevance to this thread would they be so kind as to PM or create a new topic. I come on this thread hoping to read about 2014 Panthers believe it or not... Ales Dryml would be splendid imo... As an asset would be cost effective also.

crazyb
Everybody is pleased Panthers have been saved. Not everbody however is pleased we are in Premier League with little or no chance of getting into the higher eschelons again. I'm glad Panthers have been saved, and also glad we're out the EL, with all it's two and three week breaks (and not all do to the Showground I might add).Never wanted to go up in the first place, although we did have some good years, and a few excellent ones). It will be a change to have almost regular weeks racing, knowing which day, and not having to guess!
Crump99
It'll be interesting to see how many first choice 7 v 7s we get next year?
NeilWatson
It'll be interesting to see how many first choice 7 v 7s we get next year? With a Tuesday race-night both teams should be at full strength for pretty much all our home meetings.
Django
It'll be interesting to see how many first choice 7 v 7s we get next year? As an indicator I think 6 of our 40 provisional fixtures are affected. Not a huge amount (Grajczonek, Wells, Morris)
mudflaps
With a Tuesday race-night both teams should be at full strength for pretty much all our home meetings.I still think Tuesday race nights is a mistake Neil, I can see why you have done it but cannot see the crowds coming out so early in the week.... I hope I'm proved wrong.

The White Knight
Which proves the point you made was incorrect. Yes - but only to a point. Not ALL Clubs could afford to pay for ALL of the Riders required. THAT is my argument.
