SCB
I'd be happier in Coventrys shoes knowing that if the top 5 is wrong you can change it. Where as a team with a stornger top 5 but duff reserve can't do a thing about it. Coventry and Lynn for me. A good reserve can have 5 or 6 rides and thats going to be a major bonus. Crazy robin
How many home meetings will Scott miss at Belle Vue as he doesn't have the best attendence record there as an away rider. Winners of the League will be the team that are lucky with injuries or will be able to wheel & deal riders in & out during the season. One things for sure there will be plenty of riders who will want to come back to british speedway once Poland & Sweden finish to replace the 2nd strings on inflated averages due to picking up easy points in their races vs. the draft riders. Yeah but it's a bit like for like. You're not suddenly going to find another Kerr or Garrity are you?

jimmy jimmy
Kings Lynn look the stand out team for me, but there are a number of strong sides. I think the new rules actually will make the league very interesting this year, unlike the Swedish league, where Vetlanda are way above the rest, and Poland with Torun. I am looking forward to it!! Gavan
Belle Vue along with Lynn have a very strong top 3. All depends on the fourth and fifth rider to me. Looking at the 3 top heavy teams in Poole , Belle Vue and Lynn Ward - Iversen - Zagar - Ward for me nothing between the other 2. Janowski - Nicholls - Bjerre - Bjerre here and as much as Nicholls is declining he still averages more than Magic. Pawlicki - Cook - Schlien - nothing between these 3. A lot will depend on the 4th and 5th riders as I say but for someone not to be able to see that Belle Vue look ok this year must be blind. Yes it needs to be backed up on the track and they could come last lol. For the record Magic is a better rider than Nicholls..............................on the continent

Steve Shovlar
Not to worried about the reserves then ? if one of them get's injured your pretty much screwed . He also thinks Cook is as good as Shamek! One a reserve /second string in the UK placed in a heat leader role, the other a Polish top league heat leader! However, Pawlicki has yet to be named in the Poole team.

Cook is no reserve, I have no doubt he'll step up and be a good heatleader in 2014 but I agree Shamek is class

Cook is a lot better than that, he might not have been as good as Pawlicki in the past few seasons but he is averaging around 8 a matching the EL so a lot more than a second string. This season he will continue to improve, especially away from home.
stevebrum
He also thinks Cook is as good as Shamek! In the EL Cook is better, as the averages point out. Shamek 7.09 Cook 7.40 Not that anyone is suggesting Cook is the better all round rider of course.

Absolutely. We need riders like them in the EL.
LagutaRacingFan
Cook's average is inflated, He missed plenty of away matches last year and rode plenty at kirky lane. I'll let Leszno know tomorrow morning that they should release Pawlicki and sign Craig Cook.

Shamek good on the continent and is the all round better rider but have a look at last seasons averages if you don't think they will score about the same in the elite league. Nothing like using facts! Cook's average is inflated, He missed plenty of away matches last year and rode plenty at kirky lane. I'll let Leszno know tomorrow morning that they should release Pawlicki and sign Craig Cook. what a stupid comment to make though I expect nothing less from you. Shamek is a better rider but in the elite league not massive difference in there averages and I doubt there will be much at the end of this season either. As said on the continent both Magic and Shamek are superior to Nicholls and Cook but not in our league. That's not opinion it's fact

Usual irrelevant rubbish as it's riding in Britain than they're being compared by & that has nothing to do with Poland.
SteveLyric2
Cook and Pawlicki? Apart from being speedway riders the two of them are chalk and cheese. One has, in my opinion, limited natural ability but the attitude that even Crump could have learnt from. Compared to other riders with similar experience he is so far ahead it is frightening. Look at Auty, he has been riding twice as long and has more natural ability yet is light years behind. The other is some sort of wonder boy who like all of his fellow compatriots will never quite fulfil his potential unless they organise the world around him like they did for Gollob. If Cook can instil some of his ultra professionalism into Worrall, or any other British rider (come on Auty get your act together) we will be laughing. From that description I was having trouble distinguishing which was chalk and which was cheese!!!??

I don't think I've ever seen the words "Auty " and "natural ability" mentioned in the same sentence before. I always thought natural ability had something to do with staying on the bike for four laps, without knocking anyone else off.
