stratton
Of course they will just like any season reserves will be vital ... Say If Newman get's injured then Poole will have say Smart and Richings or such like meaning they will score next to nothing from reserve and have zero chance of winning the league .As I said your not going really going to see how vital it is intill it happensBut they have a top tail, this year the reserves we all know are hit and miss most reserves will in a way have they're own mini tournament. That is most of they're goals is to beat they're own level ok Newman is an exception(why?) they are important the reserves but they're will be changes no doubt throughout the year. eric i
I know it is Poole but the rules mentioned that the reserves or replacements have to come from the list of Brit riders published Can riders be added to this list at any point during the season. Woz01
I think it was said they will publish a list of riders who can guest nearer the start of the season. There are a few NL riders who didn't want to be in the draft but will probably be included on the 'guest list'.
A ORLOV
Its just a matter of WHEN Smart is given the axe. No doubt a `re-viewed` list will suddenly appear with an Aussie on there! If it is C Holder you will know who changed it. Can riders be added to this list at any point during the season. Do not know, but as this is the first year of trying it it would not surprise me if it happened. I think there were 25 listed, now if more than 5 got injured they would have to do something. SCB
It clearly is confusing for you, as the two above quotes directly contradict each other. The fact remains that, whatever your opinion of him, Janowski is statistically the second strongest third heat leader. I guess it depends if you use team building rolling average without bonus points. Or last seasons averages with bonus points. I'd estimate that puts him as average 3rd heatleader at best. Weirdly though it Puts Coventry heatleaders of Harris and Hansen will down the order but most seem to think they're pretty good, can't think why. Oh yes, it's the reserve who could well score 10 from his programmed rids every meeting! The draft really worked well for Coventry.
Gavan
Poole will be there or thereabouts but Janowski isn't as good as Cook in the elite league despite what shovlar thinks. they will make the play offs but maybe that's it. as for his predictions! Birmingham 4th and Swindon 7th!!!! lol
The Pedaler
Poole will win the league. It will be arranged if it doesn't work out naturally...perhaps on a wet Monday night again, in front of the television cameras again, just so that they can get enough of a points lead before the meeting gets abandoned to sneak them into the play-offs again. I agree although I think the Bees top 5 is decent especially if Howarth continues his form from the 2nd half of last season, I believe he was averaging 6 for Swindon? Along with Kings Lynn the Bees have the best reserve pairing followed by Wolves.

Based on stats from your site scb, based on returning riders from 2013, janowski is arou d 20th ( slightly higher/lower depending if u include bp) - so a weak second heat leader or strong third hest leader in a ten team comp. mdmc82
I know it is Poole but the rules mentioned that the reserves or replacements have to come from the list of Brit riders published Now Bates has already left Swindon, Rosco has said it could even be a rider not from the draft who now wants to ride in EL who could replace him so looks like rules have changed already. Will encourage teams to cheat I guess it depends if you use team building rolling average without bonus points. Or last seasons averages with bonus points. Not really as Garrity will miss alot of meetings as PL clash and then we have to hope he doesn't get injured We'll see & that goes for how they get rid of Smart as well. How would they get round replacing him as no clashes so should always be available
g13webb
Can riders be added to this list at any point during the season. It was said at the announcement, more riders can be added to the draft list later if necessary, but they, will need to fit the same criteria. Quite correct - and quite sensible when we think about it!!!
Crazy robin
Quite correct - and quite sensible when we think about it!!! It is sensible but imagine how some of these other lads are feeling this morning with how far they've got to travel just to ride in their home meetings. As long as it's consistent going forward then can only be a good thing.

Let us hope so. I hope that the rules on reserves don't change to fit those teams who have riders with commitment issues.

Steve Shovlar
I hadn't realised Skornicki had signed for Brum and they didn't have enough points left for a number one. I move them down the league to about 7th.

stevebrum
Surely wolves will be much higher as stevebrum said proctor is better than most heat leaders! Better than most 3rd heat leaders yes. Disagree if you want, ignore his form of 8.76 from last year if you want. Of course we will be bottom as so many are saying so, we all know how many got that right last season as well !!
