Game On
We are the best and Matt Ford is the best, he is my hero and everyone related to Speedway should bow to him. Very sad.
B.V 72
Who are the Aces The Aces are a team that has the respect of other clubs fans because in their turn at the top they won the league 3 years on the trot with mostly home grown talent, they were never known as a team that used under hand tactics and they were never known as a team that bought their titles. Agrotron
Matt Ford is the best promoter in British Speedway by a country mile.
E I Addio
Matt Ford is the best promoter in British Speedway by a country mile. Seems like the poor mans Steve Shovlar is still trying to make a wind -up and still failing. At least Steve gets a few bites, but you'll have to do a bit better than that before you get a sniff on this forum mate. Get back in your basket.
g13webb
Such a shame this thread marked as 'Early predictions' should be used as a Poole troll site. If those responsible could move to your own site, then the rest could continue with the topic, the thread was set up to do.

Poole Quay 7
Some of my fellow Poole supporters are not doing themselves, or Poole speedway any favours here and this sort of continuous wind-up only leads to resentment from other clubs supporters and to be fair, I don't blame them and if agrotron actually believes some of this stuff, then he should seek out some form of help! All people want is fair play and recently Poole have been involved in numerous incidents shall we say. This coupled with a couple if idiotic Poole fans not being capable to discuss these points just infuriates further. I'm still waiting for an answer as to why it was ok for Darcy to stay down to get a re run and a point but when Kildemand did it it was classed as cheating. I don't expect an answer apart from I'm anti Poole. Why can't these select few see some if the issues. Defending your team is fine but to constantly contradict and not debate is quite frankly pathetic And back on topic that I started Poole will be there abouts because Matt Ford builds a good side and isn't afraid to make changes when needed. Gavan you are a boring, repetitive anti anything to do with Poole TROLL. You spend more time on Poole threads than anywhere else which proves this FACT. Very strange as your team isn't even in the same league. On topic now for Poole fans rather than the troll. Did Emil get an official average when riding for Coventry a couple of years ago? Would be good to fit him in with young Kurtz. Might mean a change or two but what a team that would be. Interesting to see what is said tomorrow night. Gavan
Gavan you are a boring, repetitive TROLL.takes one to know one doesn't it! Think if we had a poll on who was the biggest troll on this forum you would win it by a mile closely followed by Kks or whatever he/she goes by now. Nice to see you give your usual reply and intellectual debate again but you did miss out the words anti Poole

hyderd
for me a top 4 of ( in no particular order ) 1-4 Kings Lynn Poole Belle Vue Wolves 5 Swindon 6 Coventry 7 Eastbourne 8 Lakeside 9 Leicester 10 Birmingham.
Poole Quay 7
In no particular order my top four to-date but could change once we find out the last places for a couple of teams? Kings Lynn. Coventry. Poole and finally, Swindon. At the moment, Swindon are a bit of a doubt - however, I can't see Rosco accepting mediocrity and that's why I have included them. I seem to recall Matt Ford saying at the start of last season, that he wasn't necessarily aiming to win the league but win the play-off's and that seemed to be the plan. The good thing is that it appears to be more open this season and I hope that means good speedway throughout the season for us to watch? It's the team who have built up a head of steam and momentum towards the end of the season that often goes on to take the title and that will be in the mind of each clubs managers and promoters. Therefore, I fully expect changes in riders throughout the season and not just at Poole!? So now we are in to 2014, I personally, am looking forward to the start and hopefully for the club and supporters, another good season for the Poole boys. Good luck to ALL the teams and as always, may the best team win. Edited January 8, 2014 by Poole Quay 7

Whist I agree with what you say, and believe this is the way that speedway is now run, I feel any chance of getting back the supporters of the past, has now gone forever. I greatly admired Birmingham last year for having the same team though-out, and for that reason alone should have won the league. I appreciate they started well and were fortunate to be without injuries, but the game has now moved on. Years ago supporters use to have a connection with the team, they talked to the riders, the riders stayed loyal and team changes were few. This was a big thing for the supporters, who knew who was in the team every week. Winning was nice, but not uppermost. The concept of supporting speedway has completely changed, The cheque book now rules every aspect of the sport, and the supporter is nothing but an after thought. Now it's, I didn't recognise who was riding then , but God , I like that smell... .. . .. .
1 valve
As GRW Says in his postYears ago supporters use to have a connection with the team, they talked to the riders, the riders stayed loyal and team changes were few. The concept of supporting speedway has completely changed, The cheque book now rules every aspect of the sport, and the supporter is nothing but an after thought. GRW is spot on and the promoters should stop and consider that as short term cheque book promoting has replaced long term loyalty development then the crowds have dropped off. Which beggs the question why would any business invest more to reap less? We know speedway has its many crazy concepts but this one must take some beating! SteveLyric2
But its not just 'cheque book promoting', its the cost of the sport at all levels. If riders didn't have to rush off abroad after UK meetings to earn their Euros to maintain their top of the range machinery, then they could stay local to their UK club and (re)build local contacts with fans past and present, sponsors and the wider community. If dramatic changes were made to the machines that are used in league speedway (compared to what might be required at GP level), to lower the costs of bikes, tuning, servicing etc., then we may yet get a sport that becomes more affordable for everyone. And the racing might even be better!!! BREAKING NEWS - At least FIFA are looking kindly on speedway in this country, by declaring that the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will NOT now take place in June/July but probably November/December! (ps, assuming we still have speedway in 2022!!!)
