I would think those who follow the career of Jurica Pavlic

I don't understand how the original Post that gave the good news of an addition to his family can be treated with so much contempt. But then, sadly, I suppose it's the increasing influence of the facebook mentality that is now creeping on to this more-than excellent discussion forum.

Unfortunately populated with some with an anti speedway agenda. Give it up.

...and also those dedicated to the pursuit of those

Remember the good old forum criteria - 'attack the Post NOT THE POSTER."

I've never understood why people congratulate people on having sex.

It's more than sex to many people. Some have made a decision that will change their life, and the life of their family, for good. Some of those people happen to be speedway people that many either know, have met or that they are interested in. I think it is appropriate to make comment on a speedway forum and consider it bad form for those that must make negative comments about it. Really, if you couldn't give a toss about it, why comment just to bring someone down?

It's sad to see so many bad taste jokes about the wonderful concept of bringing a new life into the world.

As the saying goes "there's never a Mod when one is needed" - at least it seems that way.

Yeah they are probably too busy sorting out other stuff that needs it, wading through numerous reported posts where the reports are really just because the person reporting it disagrees with what someone else says, or even, shudder the thought, they might even be having a life but hey if it gives the chance to make another cheap dig, feel free

I read in the local paper that Chantelle Smith gave birth to a baby girl, mother and baby both doing well.

As neither the Pavlic's or Smiths are family or friends I really don't care about either though

I can send you a copy of our local evening paper if reading such things about people you don't know excites you, there are dozens each evening

How strange. I thoght we were still in the season of peace and goodwill.

Yes it is hard to get some BSF members to understand the definition of the critical word debate! As a Mod on other forums I know how hard it is to explain the difference between debate and conflict.

For my part so far as I can recall on the BSF, I have NEVER reported a Post to a Mod. In fact, I think the only time I have ever contacted a BSF Mod was via PM when I saw two threads on the same subject in the National League forum. I even gave that up in the end when these messages were ignored and then the Mod blocked me from contacting them. That's the way it goes I guess.

Obviously there is a facility I am unaware of as I was under the impression that it was impossible for a mod to block reports. Unless of course you are referring to the numerous personal messages I got when my father was in intensive care in which case thats is definitely the 'way it goes' because as I explained at the time (incrediible though it may seem), my family are far higher up my list of priorities than any internet forum.

And yet again we have another topic taken well off at a tangent. Oh well

No it was not Reports that I contacted the Mod with but they were PMs.

I understand your explanation in regard to PMs at such a stressful time in regard to your father. That is understandable.

Additionally, I also share your view that family are far more important than any internet forum.

My personal best wishes to you and your family.

Thank you for your wishes.

If I could respectfully suggest that you revert to using the report button rather than pm's for a problem, that will sent a message to ALL mods and the first one available who can help should look at it.

The PM system has a limit to how many messages can be sent to any individual no matter their classification on the forum. That does not necessarily mean someone is blocked, just that the limit has been reached
