Gambo
It was clear that Monster had underwritten the event with numerous mentions through the broadcast for fans to text their friends and encourage them to watch online for free but to make sure to contact Monster to let them know youd like more of the same next year. Also mentions of viewers all around the world and asking them to do the same. A number of other sponsors (mostly US local) also got a solid share of airtime including Hagon Shocks. Came across as a slickly organised and run event that attracted a healthy and enthusiastic crowd. http://www.monsterenergy.com/gb/en/sports/speedway/#!/pages%3Acontact As you have suggested, I have contacted Monster via the above 'Contact Us' link to congratulate them regarding the meeting and also the video quality. Unsure I presume in this digital world every click gets noted so you may be right. I've sent them my thanks for the coverage. I'm still waiting to see the apology you are due from the plonker who unjustly and unfairly berated you but not holding my breath. A thoroughly enjoyable mid-winter teaser for the springtime jollities to begin. A Happy New Year to you and all the International Section friends from a snowy USA. Regards. Alan. manchesterpaul
Was glad to see the various advertisements inserted into the breaks during track maintenance aka 'beer and food sales' on the webcast and hopefully that paid for the broadcasting costs. http://www.monsterenergy.com/gb/en/sports/speedway/#!/pages%3Acontact As you have suggested, I have contacted Monster via the above 'Contact Us' link to congratulate them regarding the meeting and also the video quality. ATB Dave Thanks for that link and i've duly added my praise. Initially i was about to exit at the amount of asterisked mandatory personal info required on the form, however, i simply entered 'private' into selected fields and it rather surprisingly went through without popping up a 'that doesn't match' type of warning. Heyyyyy 'The Pedaler' i notice ye hath not repented for your sins yet! I also note that ye are of few posts so am suspicious if ye are a multiple ID poster? Reveal yourself lol. Ok a simple 'sorry' wll suffice is sorry such a hard word to utter? Only joking it's forgotten. lastword
Anyone who has attended USA meetings will recognise the way that they are presented. Lots of noise, constant commentary from an over the top presenter and the usual US razzmatazz. Have to say I loved it ! Special mention to the commentator who could be seen taking the occasional sip from a flask, and even name-checked the person who had provided the Jack Daniels! Not sure that I could survive it every week at Kirky Lane but all promoters here might learn at least something from watching it.
Trees
I have personally loved over the years when we've had Aussie riders commentate on races, same sort of thing I guess?
A ORLOV
I have personally loved over the years when we've had Aussie riders commentate on races, same sort of thing I guess? When Steve Johnson was chipping in with comments on sky he was brilliant.
New Science
I enjoyed this for the whole entertainment value. The small speedway track is a bit "Mickey Mouse" but those that have ridden small tracks previously were at quite a advantage. Billy J had it in the bag before Ward got a bit over excited!Seemed typical of most speedway nowadays on small tracks (no passing round the outside)
