Can't believe you've posted that video without translating it and giving a full breakdown of Egon's career, including the junior stuff mind, why bother if you're only going to give half the story, I despair :o

Wait til parsloes catches sight of it, he'll be livid.

Apart from that thanks for posting iris.

You are right.I was a bit afraid of outraging Parsloes by posting this,as nowhere do they mention the fact that Egon rode for Coatbridge + Hull when looking back over his career!!!!!!

Musikalischen talent... Understood that bit.

I won't go there.....i got blocked from his Facebook friends list for making a comment on his youtube video of him singing Mandy. All i said was,i was quite worried that it sounded as if he was singing "happy people piss my way" rather than pass my way lol

Be afraid,be very afraid. It seems Egon is working on a new cd.......

You can hear a snippet here.Sounds like he hasn't modernised his style one bit though,so be warned

Seems the article and in particular photo no.16 have caused some controversy on the net.

States Egon led Germany to a test match win over New Zealand in a run-off with Ivan Mauger.People have looked at results and found nothing to indicate such a meeting took place.......another bit of mis-information on the net?grrrrr ;)

Wonder when, if this event exists,it took place?

Guess the info comes from Egon himself. So was he mistaken with either the year or the meeting wasn't a test and a best pairs meeting, which seems quite possible?Around that time Brokstedt did host international best pairs meetings. In 1979 New Zealand(Mauger +Ross) drew 23-23 with german pair,Maier + Hack, but Egon and his partner Christoph Betzl finished 5 points behind them,so couldn't have been in a run-off.In 1980 there was also a best pairs meeting involving New Zealand(Mauger + Ross again) and Germany(Egon + Maier),but I have no details if this is the meeting or if there were pairs meetings in 1977 or 1978....

I think sometimes, like the Brian Crutcher episode, riders memeories are faulty, especially in Egons case maybe when he rode in 1,000s.In fact it seems he won nearly 2,000 trophies and is prone to a bit of exageration as well.....
