racers and royals
Im not saying that they are not showing it but just encase they are not showing it then for £16 a month you can watch it as well as Polish Speedway. I will be very shocked if they dont show it on British Eurosport . I did say im shocked if they dont show it. " If they don`t " is completely different from " I`m shocked they won`t show "
BWitcher
Nice defence of GoSpeed there. The thing is, by GoSpeed acquiring the rights, NOBODY else could show Polish Speedway. That was always the intention. Stifle the opposition. Hide the better product from public view. Preserve the illusion that British is best. PROTECT THE RUSSELL'S COMMISSION EARNINGS. That bit about Sky not being interested is nothing more than a smoke screen. Another factually incorrect post in your tireless vendetta. As you are so concerned on most threads with the Speedway Star and their lack of investigative journalism, I propose that they adhere to your wishes and investigate who you are and get to the bottom of this chip you are carrying around on your shoulder. michaelcroucher
£342 for all the equipment and 1 years subscription. compare to £504 for sky and its not always in another language. I dont want to piss people off but the point i was trying to get over was if people really want to watch the speedway it can be done and your %100 going to watch it. Its not like is it isn't it going to be on.
flagrag
I have a feeling that BT sport may well have gained these rights as have heard from contacts that they are recruiting and setting up another production team for a new content programme with core hours of Mon and Tues this could well be for the Swedish speedway. If it will almost definitely be presented from the UK studios in London

Good on you for mentioning the motorized satellite alternative in case some might want to go down that road, but i'm in agreement with many in that most important first of all is too wait and see if we will get in ENGLISH a broadcast on established channels. When you quote for comparative purposes £504 for Sky are you saying that a motorized dish picks up all of Sky's programming? Also what about other channels on that platform such as MUTV, Premier Sports etc.? Eeeek didn't have a clue what i was paying out annually until doing a rough tally right now and i see that on the Sky packages alone that totals around £900 a year. Therefore your costs look very tempting, however unless every channel that i currently watch in HD is also in HD, and is in English, and never ever has even the slightest glitch then i'd stick to Sky. Don't want to turn this into a technology thread lol but a brief reply would be much appreciated on the access and quality questions. Got to admit i personally certainly wouldn't switch merely in order to see the Swedish speedway as it's readily available via rock steady high quality streams nowadays. Despite no English commentary and the fact it would have to be HD quality in the way that many sports channels web players are, i would certainly strongly consider purchasing an official feed via a Polish or Swedish media company although it is a busy year ahead for me and i can't guarantee being at home every Tuesday until i finalize a couple of things. Then again if any packages included archive access i might change my mind, although even then it all depends on my schedule.of other leisure/entertainment activity i'm planning. The Pedaler
Once you have the appropriate decoder and motorised dish installed...going to certain web sites can cut your costs of TV subscription down to about £100 per year in total, for all of Sky UK, all the Polish stations, all the Swedish stations, Italian TV, German TV, French, Spanish, etc...AND many of those stations carry multi-lingual commentaries too, just like DVD's have choices of languages. I've often watched a Premier League football match, live on (e.g.) Al Jazeera Sports, with an English commentary, on a Saturday afternoon when UK stations aren't covering the match. And this thing about not hearing the commentary in English anyway...you don't get that on the terraces when you are at the track either...or don't you go to live speedway? SCB
Yes several stations do carry English soundtracks - for imported US drama. As for Al Jazeera, you were almost certainly watching one of their English language sports channels, aimed at ex-patriates in the Gulf. They're the ones normally carried by the copyright fraudsters online. TBf, it's perfectly legal to watch it over satellite. Weirdly, it only becomes illegal when someone streams that same satellite picture over the internet. The illegal act isn't watching it but making it available. No you don't get commentary on the terraces but if you pay for tv broadcasting you obviously do expect sound/commentary and ideally in English. michaelcroucher
I didn’t want to tell people to go out and buy a motorized dish for the sake of it. If people are willing to wait to see if British Eurosport or BT are going to show it then I would say absolutely wait and don’t go out and spend lots of money for something you are going to hate. On the other hand if you really are feed up with sky and you want to watch speedway then this is the option. I went over to motorized to watch speedway as I was getting feed up with sky on how much I was paying and not really getting the service I wanted. As a speedway fan all I wanted to do was watch top speedway meetings and as Poland is meant to be the best I started to look more into it. At first I did think that I was going to find it boring with no English broadcasting but when I watch the speedway and not the broadcasting it doesn’t really bother me. Saying that I have picked up a little bit of polish on the way. Also when sky had said that they were not going to show the GP and World Cup this was another reason to go over to NC+. Since Eurosport have taken the GP and WC I watch all the live matches on my BT box. So I do understand about saving money and waiting. With regards to equipment I still pick up sky programmes for free as well as other TV from abroad. You can if you want have a sky card as well as NC+ in the same machine and watch from Uk to Poland and other countries. Since I have come away from sky as a paying customer I have not missed speedway on a mon night. I also can record Polish and Swedish speedway and watch it when I want in HD for FREE. If people want to invest in a dish like I have I don’t mind giving them details about on how to go on about it, but I would never say go and buy it unless you really want to. I have found it is really money well spent as I do get other speedway events from Poland and CZ. It’s not always league meetings on there. I hope that i have not upset anyone on here as this was not my intention.
brandonbee48
That`s re-assuring as I`m about to watch Tottenham v Cardiff on a perfect NBC stream !! Of course it's perfect since it's coming from Obamaland. It's ironic that we get every match here live and once in a while we even get Reading on. We had Coventry City get thumped by Arsenal and there were 7 of us out of 320 million watching Greetings from a frozen USA and roll on "tapes up". Regards. Alan. peatbog
I think British Eurosport will have Elitserien Speedway, they were happy with the viewing figures for the GP's and they are now showing live the Ice Speedway Gladiators GP from Assen this weekend. Sat. 7pm, Sun 6.30 pm, and repeats during the week.

Hmmmm! in addition to his current speedway commentating duties with Sky Sports, Eurosport's GP meetings etc. and the BSI/IMG highlights that could likely mean that we'd all have an extra helping of commentary by Nigel Pearson.......just sayin' lol. manchesterpaul
Confirmation by ESP UK https://twitter.com/EurosportUKTV/status/446329414453063680 OK rollercoaster ride time...... 1. Great news above. 2. Uh oh how realistic or accurate is this report from Swedish Speedway News? "Threat: No television coverage of the Elitserien arenas Writer: John Wahlberg March 21, 2014 @ 18:09. Elitserien clubs have been in a conflict with the union and now it is very unclear whether C More, which has rights will be allowed into the stadiums in early 2014. The reason is that clubs may only take part in 800 000 of the 3.5 million that the agreement entails. - Svemo, we believe, confiscates the revenue we create by television broadcasts, said the chairman of ESS, Wolves Lars Berlin to SVT Sport. SVEMO Chairman Hakan Leeman, however, is satisfied with the distribution of money. - Yes, I think it looks fairly out. We have quite a large cost of running this business, and we have shown them how much costs we have to take this and that we have also divided the money that we consider reasonable, he says to SVT. A motion to Elitserien clubs shall have 80% of the money will be raised on SVEMO Federation meeting on April 12. But it remains to be seen what decision becomes."
