When Will The New Race Format Be Out & How Can Teams Name Riders When They Don't Know It?

Recommended Posts

Wrong.

I am referring to a previous dialogue on this thread with WK that we agreed both leagues are inappropriately named - which kind of makes discussions after that now irrelevant.

What we ALL know and can , or should agree on................................

1. BOTH leagues are inappropriately named so any discussions about ONE being incorrectly named are really now invalid.

2. The EL is the highest league in the Country for Speedway so is therefore the strongest, any comparisons are neither here nor there.

Your fellow 'gang' member I take it.

What a Troll.

There is no `gang`. Some are just pointing out the glaringly obvious.

Ánd it's not you pointing it out.

You do make me laugh. Try reading your 2nd point and then work out what is wrong with your first point.

You are the troll on this thread I'm afraid. If you cannot understand the English language, don't post. It really is that simple.

I have a lot of time for your posts normally, but on this issue, when you have already yourself stated that the 'Elite League' is the highest level of competition in the UK you CANNOT claim the name is wrong.

I give you the definition of 'Elite' again.

'a group of people considered to be superior in a particular society or organization.'

The society/organisation is the BSPA. The group is the collection of teams in the highest level of the sport within the BSPA. Therefore they are the 'Elite'.

It is quite simply a FACT. Unless you want to re-write the English language that is.

Back on thread, did anyone ever find where it was stated that the reserve riders would ONLY race against second strings?

There's an interview with Jon Cook I read where I am sure he stated that it would benefit the NL riders more to be chasing riders like Darcy Ward than lesser riders...

You are clearly spoiling for a argument.

I was having a separate discussion with WK. It makes me laugh you are being called a troll tho.

Anyway i will leave you to ensuring you have the last word, as usual. I have already said my piece to WK, which was the only point i was making.

You haven't made a point, that's the issue. You spouted some contradictory nonsense.

Good god. The El is the top level of racing. CORRECT.

Therefore it is the ELITE level of racing. It really is very simple.

We all get that. I certainly am not arguing that if you were to read my previous discussions with WK.

If the PL is correctly named so is the EL.

Would you like to join the gang. No stringent entry criteria.

Have to say this a classic topic ..on the last page I reckon I saw Stevebrum moaning about someone having the last word  if that was not ironic enough he then said he was leaving the topic only then to reply to the person he said he was giving the last word to .

Back on thread, did anyone ever find where it was stated that the reserve riders would ONLY race against second strings?

Not that I can find.

It was Jon Cook that said about an extra reserves race being included in the programme.

And it was the ever-cryptic Philip Rising that said that he had 'heard' that the reserves would be 'protected' in the format.

But no, I can't find anything that categorically states that reserves would definitely not be programmed against heat leaders at all.

Not official anyway.

Can anyone help as it seems a little wasteful to spend all this effort thinking of race formats that are not even working on the same wavelength as the people creating the real thing.

First noticed it here

For the umpteenth time, for your and Vincent's eyes, read the rules. RESERVES DON"T RACE AGAINST THE TOP MAN. Is that clear now ?

Posted on the Panthers' thread.

I then posted this

Having been away some time minus a lap-top and not bothering with internet cafes, I haven't read every thread on this forum so, instead of shouting reserves won't ride against the top guys how about saying 'this won't happen because this IS happening' rather then 'it won't happen because this ISN'T happening'. Reserves have taken the rides of injured riders in the past so presumably this is no longer the case and an alternative rule has come in to cover R/R for the third fourth and fifth average riders.

And this was the answer

Correct
