The White Knight
How about saving your useful contributions for the Premier League threads? Not another Elite League snob. Enjoy watching the 'Super' National League this coming Season. Personally I will enjoy the Premier League. :approve:
g13webb
How about.......WAITING FOR IT TO BE ANNOUNCED. What a sad response that is . We have people who are being proactive in their thinking, and putting out suggestions for other to see, and all you can do is to cry them down. We are nearly into February and have been waiting for months for the official format to be announced, so when people like PMP and others have posted their ideas getting a response like yours is pretty low. Probably, if you had spent your time more proactive, then you would appreciate the time an effort that has obviously conducted in the original post. Not another Elite League snob. Enjoy watching the 'Super' National League this coming Season. Personally I will enjoy the Premier League. :approve: You and are no better, trying to make out there is some sort snobbery that don't exist.... We are all in this together...........

waiheke1
I think it is unlikely that they would keep the second strings from racing the heat leaders. The format you suggest would hugely skew 2nd string averages - riders like ljung or worrall could average more than tai or ward under that format. Tell that to those who constantly demean the Premier League GRW123. Whereas you just like to tell us how poor and awful the EL is. Best not come across as hypocritical. Bagpuss
Too many forum police about....a large part of the BSF's appeal is being able to predict things so if people want to try to guess the new heat format then good for them.
SteveLyric2
I don't think anyone is complaining about those posters who have suggested possible formats - its just those that keep on and on about the lack of an official announcement?! When is the first team meeting to use the new format?! Riders aren't that fussed - in fact many don't know what heats they are going out in (let alone who they are against) until the team manager tells them on the racenight!! So maybe confirm it a week before so that those involved in producing the new racecards/programmes can do their jobs. Sorted! I totally agree with that. I certainly couldn't work it out and I admire those who try. An interesting Thread this. Correct, nothing PREMIER about the PL. Fiction all round. INCOGNITO
Second strings will face the best and worst during a meeting so riders like Adam Skornicki or Ryan Fisher could easily finish his programmed rides with two heat wins and two lasts while a good reserve like Jason Garrity or Lewis Kerr could have two wins and two paid seconds just by beating reserves. The toughest position looks to be the number one who won't have an easy race all night and could face the opposing top two in each of his races so they could easily not get a heat win all night especially away from home. There is no rhyme or reason to delay the announcement of the format, other then the fact is has not been finalised yet. That in itself is worrying. But don't let that concern you, after all the season hasn't started yet. When it was decided to include 2 draft reserve riders in the teams this year and it was said at that time, they would race in protected heats . That statement initiates many rule changes. it alters programmes rides, it alters CMA, in fact, it changes everything from what the league use to be. But as you say why worry, Job sorted. This sport of ours has a very precarious perception, The public need all the encouragement they can get to maintain any interest they may have. Here we are, 6 weeks before the season starts and we still don't know the format to be used. That's not encouraging anybody, supporters or sponsors. This appears to be a massive problem organising these changes. I have no doubts when this new format is announced, there will be teething problems. so probably it would be best to make the announcement sooner rather than later. This would enable time for these problems to get aired and rectified.... After which, you can then say; JOB SORTED.

BluPanther
I fail to see how a race format has any bearing on anything at this stage. What possible difference it will make to the average supporter or sponsor is probably zero. We will all know when its announced, so why the need to know yesterday ? Its only a bleedin racecard...chill out.
