DutchGrasstrack
Interesting that there is only one qualifier ... no teams from Germany (!!), France and the Ukraine. Although the last two countries do not realy suprise me.
Bavarian
Interesting that there is only one qualifier ... no teams from Germany (!!), France and the Ukraine. Although the last two countries do not realy suprise me. Germany misses out as they finished behind Hungary (10th), Italy (11th) and Slovenia (12th) in the 2013 SWC qualifiers. Germany (13th) was next in line, then came the Ukraine (14th) and France (15th). Top 9 nations in the 2013 SWC were Poland (1st), Denmark (2nd), Australia (3rd), Czech Republic (4th), USA (5th), Latvia (6th), Great Britain (7th), Sweden (8th) and Russia (9th)
Ghostwalker
So why do they put Russia in the Kings Lynn group (if the qualify) when they know that some riders will have problems with acquiring a visa?

That way Russia are eliminated/expelled but without having to make it an official sanction.
Humphrey Appleby
So why do they put Russia in the Kings Lynn group (if the qualify) when they know that some riders will have problems with acquiring a visa? Frankly, countries shouldn't be allowed to stage world championship rounds if they can't guarantee entry to all selected riders.
DutchGrasstrack
Looks like we'll see a five country qualifier in Terenzano with SLO, ITA, HUN, RUS and GER. http://www.speedwaylive.eu/nasazeni-zemi-na-swc/

Is there promotion relegation between the team that finishes 12th this coming season?
DutchGrasstrack
Read above mate, Germany is in it Looks like 'Speedway Live' edited their post as the qualifier now only feature 4 countries: SLO, ITA, RUS and GER.
manchesterpaul
Read above mate, Germany is in it Looks like 'Speedway Live' edited their post as the qualifier now only feature 4 countries: SLO, ITA, RUS and GER. I'm getting really confused now, not been keeping in touch with the sport much since the end of the season but a quick Googling gives conflicting line-ups from usually reliable sources. Incidentally, one Swedish report says that Sweden go direct into an event due to lack of teams registering to enter. I'm still not clear on who rides in the qualifier as Sportowefakty give the line-ups TODAY as; Nov. 25, 9:01 Recall that the white and red, as the host of the final in Bydgoszcz, in advance are guaranteed a place in it. In the semi-finals on the track at King's Lynn in addition to the British , the team will take part in Australia , the United States and winner of the qualifying round, which will be held at the track in Terenzano (in competition will drive the Italians, Russians, Slovenians and Hungarians). In the second semi-final will fight the Swedes , Danes , Czechs and Latvians . For the final promotion winners will receive semi-finals, and teams from the second and third places will go in the play-off. Will defend the gold medal Poles, who this year won him the track in Prague. World Team Cup Schedule : July 5 - Qualifying Round in Terenzano (Italy, Russia, Slovenia, Hungary) July 26 - Semifinal in King's Lynn (UK, Australia, USA, winner RK) July 29 - Semifinal in Västervik (Sweden , Denmark, Czech Republic, Latvia) July 31 - Play-off in Bydgoszcz Aug. 2 - Final in Bydgoszcz Germany suffered a shock knock-out last year have they thrown the towel in? yellowandblack
Happens that I am in Berlin end of week before SWC Final. Really excited to find out I can get over to Bydgoszcz quite easily on the Saturday so am hoping GB get to the final (can't do the playoffs). Few questions if anyone can help... a) where in the stadium am I most likely to be amongst Brit support? Is there an area we try and cluster in or does it matter? should I just say 'to hell with it' and pretend to be Polish? c) is it acceptable to be Aussie for the day in the event we don't get beyond Norfolk? ta

ColinMills
during world cup week, theres 3 empty days, would it not be a money spinner to host a world pairs final during that week to keep the interest going?
