Big Fat 40... Help On Which Gp To Do.

Recommended Posts

Allowed 2 night break in Europe with best mate for a Gp next summer. Top tips please.

what are your preferences when it comes to racing quality, stadium facilities, cost level, what you require of the surrounding area and etc..?

Finest cities are IMO Copenhagen, Stockholm and Prague although the two first ones can be quite expensive.

Prague is the nicest of the GP cities, although it's getting a bit overpriced and touristic these days. Prefer Stockholm to Copenhagen personally, but you pays your money...

Riga might a good outside bet if it comes off - nice city, still relatively cheap, although the 'stadium' would seem to be a shocker.

I would think it is hard to beat Prague as a place to enjoy a couple of nights, although the speedway is usually poor.If the G is just an excuse then Prague is the place to get away to and you could just be lucky and the track improvements that have been promised for the last 3-5 years really might actually happen

Surely last year's is rated one of the best gp of all time?

Oops!!!I did say "if i remember correctly".I actually forgot they held a GP this year.I was thinking about the previous 1 or 2 GPs in 2010+ 2009,when i think Olsen got the blame for a poor track for not letting the local guys do their job........?

Money approximately 1K, hot weather, thriving (strip club etc) night life and somewhere historical so can have a good exploration.

Been to 15 gps all through Europe and Byd last April was the best racing I have ever seen. Torun is a fantastic track and a very nice place to visit too. Prague is very nice but the track doesn't provide very good racing. For a mix of great racing and a great time out after Torun would be the pick

Yes quite, probably along with my tongue from my mouth.

Welcome to Berwick.

Haha that makes a change to the usual grumpy buggers on here.

I can't speak for the other European GP's but what I would say is I've been to GP's in Bydgoszcz twice, Torun twice and Leszno twice and the Polish GP weekend's never disappoint. Great value for money. On the whole great weather believe it or not (was 33 degrees in Torun one year), lot's of culture to see in places like Torun, Cheap Hotels, cheap beer & meals and yes there is a strip club there too. :-) Couldn't recommend a trip to Poland highly enough! I usually spend £150 - £250 in a weekend, so reasonable I'd say.
