Great Britain youth (joint) boss Phil Morris said: “This is a great opportunity for these lads and I wish them well in the top flight next season.

“It’s an exciting addition to the league and I’m sure it will prove very popular, as was the draft process which was received very well by followers of the speedwayGB twitter feed.”

Your welcome. Now I know how ignore works then I'll add you, wish I'd known about it in 2010.

But look at the pearls of wisdom you would be missing. :o:D:D

Richie Worrall not happy on Twitter.

He is correct I believe in that the only thing riders signed up to was they wanted to be part of the scheme. The bigger issue is what happens in March or later in the season if there aren't enough riders. The later season is a massive issue of riders pull out of the scheme. And they will once promoters start to sack riders because they've found somebody they perceive is better. As I said, this is the moment for promoters to think of the sport and not their club. Are they collectively capable? I doubt it.

How had it changed?

Club able to name A and B list rider at the same time rather than as indicated all A selections first then B. Unless the whole draw took place before it went on twitter.

The twitter announcements is the way to do it though but one rider at a time would have raised the tension.

Probably just me (and being unfairly negative), but would it not have been more fun to tweet out the picks one by one and slightly slower, so we could consider the next selection. No great delay, but just a pause.

As a follower of the NFL draft it is great to think what the next team on the podium will do as a result of the previous pick.

Not just me then !!!

They must have done it the way they said but then again it was supposed to be LIVE so how could they have done that.

Oh who cares as the emphasis on getting a good top 5 when you're scuppered at reserve is the real loser.

Roll on 2015.
