Tsunami
Liked by another variation of the chuckle brothers with a common denominator, you win with backing like that! Not bad. TMW
@TMW - Clubs who have already selected their own asset at this stage will not make a selection, and there is no requirement to select a rider from the top ten. Not sure what is misleading about that. If, say, Kings Lynn opt to use Lewis Kerr, they will not take any further part in the first selection and will then have last pick in the second round. We obviously interpret things differently.

BWitcher
Liked by another variation of the chuckle brothers with a common denominator, you win with backing like that! Not quite sure what we are attempting to 'win' here. You made some ridiculous claim about Peterborough deserving to be in the play-offs, despite finishing 7th. Unable to back that up, you made another ridiculous claim, something about me going AWOL when proved wrong on an un-named thread. I can only assume the thread was the original Kings Lynn V Peterboro one upon which I said from the very beginning Kings Lynn had done nothing wrong and if they appealed it would be overturned. That's exactly what happened. Unable to back that claim up either, you've now resorted to insults. Shame, this thread had been quite amicable.

Now now peeps, lets keep in topic, there's loads of other threads where that little chesnut can be argued over....... This is for serious NL to EL drafting issues.... Daniel Smith
But not everyone on that list will get a PL spot in 2014 though so will they just take what average they finish on in the EL next season then Now this systems in, hopefully the BSPA will run with it and not be a one hit wonder. If so I should imagine riders that don't gain PL spots in 2014 will remain on the draft list for 2015
TesarRacing
So, today is the day. Despite a number of fans on here finding fault - I applaud the BSPA on this occasion and I hope it works out for the sport as a whole but also to 'bring on' the exciting young riders. If nothing else, it has created a lot of interest on the forum and discussion.

But we have had problems with the Elite League and Speedway at World Championship level for ages and this shows that they have done something to try and fix both. I hope it works.

freddyfivetoes
Draft Prediction : Coventry : Garrity & Sarjeant Belle Vue : Blackbird & Reade Eastbourne : Nielsen & Halsey Leicester : Starke & Bates Lakeside : Ellis & Morley Kings Lynn : Kerr & Clegg Wolves : Morris & Rose Swindon : Jacobs & Lambert Birmingham : Perry & Worrall Poole : Newman & Hopwood Possibly more right than wrong there, but geography will also come into play. How many will play safe and pick a lad whose career and abilities have already flat-lined? Liam Carr of Buxton/Berwick came on a ton in the final two months of 2013, and a truly alert EL manager should have an eye on him for a lower-order place. Crump99
Not bad. Lost out to one, and insulted another two, all in one post. Congrats. Your welcome. Now I know how ignore works then I'll add you, wish I'd known about it in 2010. Not quite sure what we are attempting to 'win' here. You made some ridiculous claim about Peterborough deserving to be in the play-offs, despite finishing 7th. Well you're not winning anything for accuracy, it was David2905 who made the ridiculous claim " Also I'd pick Leicester 10th rather than In Boro's position, the step up from PL to EL is tough enough without being treated as the ghost of a club that by rights should have been in the play offs." so do keep up if you want to have a go. If you can't even remember your own posts then there's not much hope is there?

DC2
Too late to harp on now but the scheme is badly flawed. Garrity & Newman are well above NL standard & neither rode in it this year so neither should be included. Kerr is a borderline case but with a 6.09 point PL average & a real possibility of a top five rider team place in the EL he should have been excluded. If Swindon were to go with Kildemand, Morris, Doyle & Schlein, Kerr on 3.56 with Brit discount would have fitted nicely inside the 3.71 remaining! A level playing field should have seen NL riders only (with a sub-5 PL average), no protected assets for the first year & the first picks order drawn by lot. All teams start with a 32 limit so there's no justification in 2013 league position determining first pick order. The scheme could then be continued in 2015 with all riders again eligible for reserve births on a 1-20 grading basis (plus 2014 NL breakthrough riders) & with Ellis & Morris protected for Lakeside & Wolves. If only it had been FAIR, with no vested interests, everyone would have got behind this scheme!! Edited December 3, 2013 by DC2

It won't be perfect but rather than pull it to bits why can't we, as true supporters, get behind this initiative and at least give it a chance. Fans have been saying something needs to done for some years - lets get behind these promoters and support it.
