Mjolnir
LOL. Am I the only person to see the funny side of what Tai was doing? I was surprised but I did chuckle. It was cheeky, there's no doubting that, but he wasn't breaking any rules (from what I can gather) and it's not like all the other riders hadn't been doing a fair bit of gardening themselves, especially Cook. He pinched some dirt from gate 4 but it looked to me like he hadn't taken any from anywhere that would have mattered. Well done to all the riders tonight, lots of good racing. The younger guys did themselves proud and all 3 riders on the podium deserved to be there.
Mark
I'd move the final to somewhere like Peterborough. Neutral track and a longer run to the first corner which would help stop some of the bunching.
Daniel Smith
He's World Champion. He has earned the right to be big headed. Absolutely, I don't think there's ever been a World Champion in any sport that doesn't get a little arrogant. It's what comes natural when you become the best at what you do. speedwaysliders
Think he's planting flowers Riders will be bringing their own shale to meetings next!!!! I can see it now 4 riders every heat bringing their own little bag of shale round to the start!!!!!
mikebv
was a50/50 call IMO but Harris made the mistake on the 4th bend which let Nichols get along side him so he should have been ex in my book, you just can't turn in on the opponent when he has reached the bend alongside you. as a BV fan I would agree and lean towards scott, however both riders going for it will often lead to incidents happening.. speedway does itself no favours by having a rule that means the ref has to exclude one or another as the race has gone further than the first bend.. the fans would have been dying to see them both race off again in a re run... Brilliant track and better facilities by a country mile too It seems they need to apply for it though? :
BluPanther
Tai was taking material from gate 4, which means he was interfering with Bomber's gate. Probably deprived Harris of making one of his famous lightning starts...

Did I miss something?
Ned Kelly 41
Time to bring back the 30yd rule? Would you like to quote that rule, which never, ever existed?
BWitcher
What exactly did he do tonight that was big headed. I saw a bit of mischief making, that was funny? Did I miss something? Someone is jealous. Or, to be more accurate, tai is mates with Darcy thus he is the devil in that posters eyes.
Ned Kelly 41
The old 30 yard rule was a good one. Would have stopped this endless jostling. See above. No such rule. Ever!

What he's done wrong is become World Champion. Instead of embracing the fact, in typical British fashion everyone is out to find mistake after mistake. That is it. He himself has actually done nothing different except take on more responsible
Mark
agree about the rules being wrong. stupid to have a rule where one rider must go as sometimes its 50-

Bostonian
Wow what a final.. Totally disagree with the post earlier about it being long winded. Yes, the final dragged like mad, but it was quiet obvious that no one was giving an inch, every rider was deseperate for the winners medal which is great to see. Superb action all night, the leaderboard changing with every heat, riders outdoing themselves and showing us great hope for the future. Garrity was superb and I really hope he gets a reserve slot at Cardiff. A few years ago the British final was dead, I now finally think it's on its way back up again. Some good young riders who will push Woffy hard, and others also not there tonight (i.e Kerr/Roynon/Nielsen) who will also give a good account of themselves. The final certainly did drag out but like I said earlier, not one rider was prepared to give away anything. Pleased for Cookie to get the gp wildcard, he was sharp all night. But inside of me I'd love to of seen Barker in there. Many people don't like him, but I enjoy watching him on a speedway bike. Been great to of seen him up against Nicky! Final word on Tai, seems to be getting a few haters recently. Maybe he is a touch aggrogant at the moment, but the way he's performing at the minute, and already being world champ, you can understand why. Pleased he's won it again, still obviously means a great deal to him. The whole gardening controversy is being totally blown out the water for me, yes he shouldn't of used the spade but he was soon told to stop.. And In fact didn't even make the gate for the eventual final race! Think I might even re-watch it again tomorrow night!
Jacques
And Hancock is dull. I hate it when people hold up Hancock as a shining example, YAWN. I do find this love in with Hancock amusing. He's the biggest mercenary of them all! He knows how to work it... He's good at the PR, he knows the schmooze and he draws people in......I can't even imagine what Poole paid for him last season!! Anyway, moving on it's good to see a ..Erm, can I say Brit getting the wildcard for Cardiff? Good luck Cookie, well deserved Come the revolution, what happens then? lol
