Ghostwalker
Can we assume Gafurov, Nermark and Kenni Larsen plus 1 of Franc, Thomsen, Zetterstrom or Dryml will now replace Anderson, Pawlicki, Janowski and Suchanek? Or will all rider form the qualifiers move up 1 place? So Andersen and Pawlicki replaced by Nermark and Thomsen, Janowski by Gafurov and Suchanek by Larsen? Kenni Larsen is in: Janek Konikiewicz @JKonikiewicz 6m @KenniegoLarsena replacea Tomas Suchanek and will fight for an advance to SEC 2014 in Debrecen tomorrow
Bavarian
Gafurov is out, he has to ride in the SGP Quali at Abensberg on Monday.
SCB
Larsen, Thomsen, Nermark and Franc all in. So going to need someone else to replace Gufarow now too. edit > I see Gafurov is "only" reserve so will have in effect have been replaced by one of them guys already. severnsider
Were the SGP qualifiers or the Sec challenge dates first?
SCB
Were the SGP qualifiers or the Sec challenge dates first? Doesn't matter. SGP > SEC. World Championship comes before everything else.
Ghostwalker
Doesn't matter. SGP > SEC. World Championship comes before everything else. Of course it matters. You cannot put fixtures on already occupied dates. If there is a SEC quali meeting FIM obviously have to respect that but FIM are very good at digging the grave of SGP with their actions. And I bet they're actually, secretly, quite happy they've been able to sabotage the SEC. The SEC cab hardly complain after moving dates around and messing up EL fixtures. f-s-p
Of course it matters. You cannot put fixtures on already occupied dates. If there is a SEC quali meeting FIM obviously have to respect that but FIM are very good at digging the grave of SGP with their actions. FIM chooses dates first, then FIM Europe and then SVEMO/SML + others. FIM Europe chose to pick a date for ECC, that was the same as the Abensberg GP quali. They also chose the date for the ECC that they KNEW would be a restaging date for the Berwick (then Austria) and Ljubljana rounds. FIM usually/always has 2 spare days, the following ones. severnsider
Thanks for the info. So you could say SEC excluded potentially 16 riders from competition as chose same date as Abensburg but are worried about 4 from Berwick. Is that a double standard? You could argue that Monday causes lot less disruption than today with a number of meetings in Poland & England
Ghostwalker
Ok, good info, FSP. The questions is then why this Monday was chosen? I would guess that it is a holiday in many countries in Europe could be a factor?
f-s-p
Ok, good info, FSP. The questions is then why this Monday was chosen? I would guess that it is a holiday in many countries in Europe could be a factor? I think thats the biggest single reason. The other one is that with the growing international calendar there really are only a handfull of options. Now lets introduce FIM best pairs and FIM speedway league and a couple of more SEC rounds FOR 2015! Yes, lets do that. LOL

ballinger
Smolinski & Lebedev are wild cards All becomes clear now why Lebedev went on a lap of honour at Debrecen after missing out to Dudek in the run off and then performed multiple donuts !! I agree, both really good choices. Edited June 11, 2014 by ballinger
